Synopsis

🪑 Antique shop owner Eleanor Rigby thought she'd found the deal of a century when she acquired a rare Victorian armchair at an estate sale. But when a notorious antique dealer is found dead in her shop—stabbed with a vintage letter opener and slumped in the very same chair—Eleanor's bargain becomes a death sentence. The police suspect a robbery gone wrong, but Eleanor notices the chair's upholstery has been recently disturbed and a hidden compartment reveals century-old love letters that point to a scandalous family secret. With her business reputation collapsing faster than a poorly made replica, Eleanor must polish her investigative skills. Assisted by her knowledgeable apprentice and the charming local historian, she uncovers a web of forgery, stolen heirlooms, and bitter rivalries in the tight-knit antique community. From suspicious provenance documents to hidden messages in furniture maker's marks, every clue is buried in the past. But when Eleanor discovers the killer is using antique auctions as a front for something much more dangerous, she must solve this vintage mystery before she becomes the next item on the killer's collection list.
