Her suspicions are confirmed when the service's founder is found dead in his office, surrounded by files detailing perfectly constructed alibis for half the town. Lydia realizes she's stumbled upon a sophisticated operation that has been helping people get away with everything from theft to blackmail. Teaming up with a retired police detective turned mystery novelist, Lydia must decode the alibi service's complex scheduling system and client records to identify both the killer and the service's dangerous clients.
