Synopsis

Tadashi Tanaka is a typical office worker whose life comes to an abrupt end at the age of forty-one due to cancer. But instead of going to heaven, he finds himself in a world resembling medieval Europe. Much like the Middle Ages, there are no modern conveniences, people eat with their hands, and pigs roam free in the streets. Worst of all, wars between nations are an everyday occurrence.

Now, Tadashi Tanaka must live his second life as Varian de Lioncourt. Can an ordinary office worker survive in this cruel world?

Varian’s rise to power begins here!

"Aesop's Fables have been cherished for generations, imparting timeless wisdom through delightful animal tales. Let me share a couple of these fables with you: The Tortoise and the Hare: In this classic fable, a speedy hare challenges a slow-moving tortoise to a race. Overconfident, the hare takes a nap during the race, while the persistent tortoise keeps plodding along. To everyone's surprise, the tortoise wins the race, teaching us that steady effort often triumphs over reckless speed. The Boy Who Cried Wolf: A young shepherd boy amuses himself by falsely shouting, "Wolf!" to trick the villagers. When a real wolf appears and threatens the sheep, the boy cries for help, but the villagers no longer believe him. The moral? Honesty and integrity matter, and false alarms erode trust. Remember, these fables hold valuable lessons that resonate across cultures and time."

Vaccines have been used to safely introduce people's bodies to diseases for centuries, and they save millions of lives each year. By giving people a weakened or dead version of a disease, a vaccine allows the body to develop antibodies which recognize and fight the disease later on.

Early vaccinations used dry scabs from smallpox to promote smallpox immunity. Doctors and scientists across nations took and improved the method, developing vaccines for health crises from whooping cough to polio to COVID-19. This graphic history features famous cases and current challenges, including the time frame for creating a new vaccine.
