Synopsis
Hippocrates, a Greek physician who lived in the fifth century BCE, is best known for his work in medical ethics. However, he also wrote a number of important medical texts, including The Book of Prognostics. This text contains Hippocrates' thoughts on prognosis, or the art of predicting the course of a disease.
