    Mind Refreshed - The Ancient...

Mental Health, specifically anxiety, is the number one health issue worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). This mind-illness is a tragic situation, but what is even more tragic is science, philosophy, and religion don't know what the mind is! How can you expect to alleviate anxiety when you don't understand the foundation?
Mind Refreshed broaches the crux of the matter. This book is a practical workbook following Sam Kneller's Mind-Body Problem Solved, where he explains what consciousness and mind are based on theology. Genesis 2:7 says God breathed neshama (the breath of life) into each human. This is consciousness. Job 32:8 reveals there's a second spirit in humans, the ruach. These two spirits work intimately to confer on humans their humanity.
Humanity can be summarized by the five traits of consciousness each human possesses: Reasoning, Purpose, Conduct, Socialization, and Rulership. When these traits are in alignment, there is a sense of peacefulness; the opposite leads to anxiety.
The key point to remember is that this mental makeup applies to all human beings regardless of race, beliefs, or gender. The solution to anxiety is Biblical, but it applies to all people because everyone possesses consciousness and a mind. Every person is diverse because each of us uses or misuses the above five traits differently.
Alleviating anxiety involves identifying the most manageable barriers to hurdle in these five areas of our lives and replacing them with doorways to walk through. The real question is, what are the doorways, and where do we find them?
Mind Refreshed reveals this. It is a practical workbook that will help you alleviate your anxiety slowly but surely and replace it with the peace you crave.

As a Man Thinketh James Allen - Allen's books illustrate the use of the power of thought to increase personal capabilities. Although he never achieved great fame or wealth, his works continue to influence people around the world, including the New Thought movement. A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts," is one of the quotes from James Allen's classic self help books, As a Man Thinketh. Published in 1902, it provides many more such insightful concepts on the power of thought and its effect on a human being's personality and behavior. This volume is more of a literary essay than a complete book and its title is based on a Biblical proverb, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Taking this piece of ancient wisdom further, James Allen explores the far-reaching effects of the inner workings of a person's mind and motivation. He proposes that projecting one's own desires, goals and needs in the outer world can provide clues to a person's character. Thinking and the subconscious mind are assumed to be hidden from the outside world, and hence powerless to change the course of events or circumstances of one's life. However, in this book, Allen presents ideas that can harness this subterranean force and bend our lives to our will if we so choose. James Allen was a British writer who wrote mostly about everyday philosophy for the lay person and was in a sense, a pioneer of the self help movement. His books and poems were inspirational pieces, meant to help people realize their own powers and take charge of their lives rather than being mere tools in the hands of destiny. Born in a working class family in Leicester, England, Allen and his younger brother grew up in straitened circumstances. His father, a factory worker, traveled to America in search of a better job, but was tragically attacked and killed by criminals in New York. James, the older son, was compelled to leave school and seek work back in England. He found employment as a secretary to a stationer and later worked as a journalist. He later discovered a deep and enduring interest in spiritual matters when he began working as a writer with a magazine devoted to spiritual themes. His first book From Poverty to Power was published in 1901. Subsequently, he also launched his own spiritual magazine. As a Man Thinketh was his third and most famous book. It became an instant bestseller and the sales of this tiny volume were so great that they allowed Allen and his family to retire to the country, buy a house and live in relative comfort for the rest of their life. The book's language is very simple and the message presented here will certainly provide a basis for further thought and meditation.

Few figures in Christian history bridge denominational divides and cultural narratives like St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Revered for over fifteen centuries, Patrick’s life and mission stand as a beacon of spiritual courage, theological depth, and the enduring power of God’s grace.
In this illuminating exploration, Saint Patrick delves into the man behind the legend. From his dramatic early years as a Roman Briton enslaved by Irish raiders to his calling as a missionary in the land of his captivity, Patrick’s story is one of transformation, faith, and unwavering devotion.
Taking a look through the lens of both Catholic and Protestant perspectives, this book offers a nuanced examination of Patrick’s life and ministry. Was he a Catholic saint, celebrated for his miracles, his role as a bishop, and his establishment of monastic centers that would transform Europe? Or was he a proto-Protestant hero, defined by his reliance on Scripture, evangelical zeal, and personal relationship with Christ?
