Synopsis

"The Portrait of a Lady" by Henry James tells the story of Isabel Archer, a spirited and independent American woman who inherits a considerable fortune. Set in Europe, the novel explores Isabel's journey of self-discovery as she navigates the complexities of love, ambition, and societal expectations.
