  The 1984 State of the Union address, delivered January 25, 1984, praises “bipartisan cooperation” and says: “For a time we forgot the American dream isn't one of making government bigger; it's keeping faith with the mighty spirit of free people under God.” “Inflation has been beaten down from 12.4 to 3.2 percent…” “Real after-tax income increased 5 percent last year.” “We're seeing rededication to bedrock values of faith, family, work, neighborhood, peace, and freedom…” 
  Let us agree on goals to keep America free and secure. Our first goal is vigorous economic growth. “We can begin by limiting the size and scope of government.” The Grace Commission has 2500 recommendations to reduce wasteful spending. Also, the line-item veto which 43 of the 50 States, including California, grant their Governors is a powerful tool against wasteful spending. 
  Additional programs are proposed including a permanently manned space station. Tuition tax credits are recommended for parents who pay private school tuition to improve education by increasing competition among schools. School prayer and a law to protect unborn children from abortion are advocated, as are enterprise zones for high-unemployment areas. 
  Finally, peace is our great goal and highest aspiration. “The future is best decided by ballots, not bullets.” We will seek concerted action to combat terrorism, and work for “freer world trade, greater competition, and more open markets.” “A nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought.”  
  Carl Sandburg said, “I see America in the crimson light of a rising sun fresh from the burning, creative hand of God… I see great days ahead for men and women of will and vision.''

  Yin, a paradoxical, still, dark, chaotic, and unknowable principal. The oft forgotten counterpart to Yang, Yin is among the most mystical topics yet also the most difficult to describe. It has so many taboo, confusing, and paradoxical aspects. Yet, in its darkness lies the source of action, success, and meaning. Hidden in Yin life phases, experiences, and events is something secret and abundant. Through a Yin path, one can achieve huge outcomes by doing nothing. One can win by yielding and garner support by listening. One can manifest by waiting, impact through silence, and be strong through weakness. In other words, the Yin ways are the forgotten methods of moving receptively through life, begetting huge abundance with little effort. However, through thousands of years of Yang domination, only the Yang, active, and masculine methods of accomplishment have survived as the sole path to success. How can we tap into the mystical, powerful, and hidden strategies latent in a Yin way of doing and seeing things? The famous Taoist sage, Lao Tzu, advised to “know the male but keep to the female.” His words indicated that if a sage could keep to the receptive and Yin path, then there is nothing he cannot do. Yin is the paradoxical headwaters of all manifestation, and by aligning ourselves with Yin methods we can, like ancient masters, siphon abundance from a Yin and Yang world. Yin Mysticism is an ontological treatise and hypothesis on the unknowable and dark half of all things: the wu-wei-like tactics for aligning with Yin.

  A Rare Recording of a British...

  At around 4:45 pm on October 21, 1954, British woman Jessie Roestenberg claimed to have seen a flying saucer of aluminum color, hovering over her remote cottage near Staffordshire, UK, with two Nordic-looking figures sitting in the craft. Roestenberg, who was inside her house with her 2-year-old daughter while her two young sons were playing outside in the garden, suddenly heard a loud sound like an aircraft crash. When she stepped outside, her terrified sons shouted: “Mommy, Mommy, there’s a flying saucer” pointing toward a round UFO hovering above them. The following recording is from a tv report of Roestenberg’s account.
