Synopsis

When an angel accidentally falls to Earth — quite literally — Victorian England isn’t ready for him. 
In The Wonderful Visit, H. G. Wells blends gentle comedy, quiet wonder, and sharp social insight in this whimsical tale of the extraordinary disrupting the everyday. When a vicar mistakes a celestial visitor for a rare bird and wounds him, he soon discovers the “strange bird” is, in fact, an angel — bewildered, radiant, and suddenly subject to the odd rules of human life. 
As the vicar tends to his unexpected guest, the angel must confront earthly aches, polite society, manners, gossip, and the peculiar limitations of mortals. What follows is a heart-touching and humorous exploration of innocence, belief, and the fragile barrier between the divine and the ordinary.
