Synopsis

The relationship between the world’s two largest Jewish tribes (in Israel and the United States) is consequential for Jews and for Judaism, but it provides important insights also for Christians – about Jews, Judaism, and Israel, and about America and Christianity. The cultural, sociological, political, and even religious differences that separate Israeli and American Jews highlight the essence of historic and contemporary Judaism. Christian revival always pointed to the Jewish roots of Christianity and of the Christian Bible. Indeed, by gaining a better understanding of Judaism, Christians gain a bette understanding of their own faith and of America’s Judeo-Christian values.
