Author Biography： Guo Xiaochang: Male, a scholar and writer, was born in 1968 in Changle, Shandong Province, and currently lives in Beijing. He started literary creation during his college years and has published numerous short stories, novellas, prose, essays and poems. He has also published many full-length novels, collections of prose and essays, collections of reportage, and theoretical monographs. In recent years, he has been committed to creating a series of biographical novels about historical figures. Five of them have been published, including "The Muddleheaded County Magistrate Zheng Banqiao", "The Dog-Meat General Zhang Zongchang", "The Carpenter Emperor Zhu Youxiao", "Ji Kang, Whose Music Stopped in Guangling", and "Emperor Yang Jian of the Sui Dynasty, the Great Emperor in Turbulent Times". In total, he has published works amounting to 3 million words.
