Synopsis

A Gift for the Silent Girl is a heartwarming tale of a young girl named Amara who communicates through her actions rather than words. Set in a peaceful village, this story highlights the virtues of kindness, patience, humility, and understanding, showing how even the quietest gestures can speak louder than words. As Amara helps others without speaking, she teaches important life lessons that resonate with both children and adults alike. This beautifully illustrated book invites young readers to explore the power of silence, the strength of compassion, and the unspoken bonds that connect us all. Ideal for children ages 5-12, this story inspires empathy and teaches timeless values that will stay with readers for years to come.

In a remote part of the South Carolina woods, a small Carolina pup plays with his brothers and sisters while their mother hunts rabbits. In one irreversible moment, his life changes forever. For a while, he lives happily with a human in Panacea, Florida, but he soon finds himself alone and homeless. Between encounters with native wildlife, thunder storms, and hunters, he learns to trust no-one but himself – until a man named Russ brings him honey-buns and calls him Surf Dude. After being on his own for so long, should he go home with Russ to a fenced-in yard with rules, or enjoy the life with no boundaries that he was born into? A portion of each sale supports dog rescue groups.
The story is a novel, based on the life of a real stray dog who was "adopted" by a town in North Florida. The story is told by the dog, Surf Dude. Surf Dude (now known as Buddy) has his own Facebook page ("Surf Dog/Buddy") with over 4,000 followers. Because the main character was a stray dog, the publisher donates a portion of all sales to animal rescue groups and shelters.

It is a Slavonic fairy tale. This story was translated and published by Albert Henry Wratislaw in 1890. Albert Henry Wratislaw was an English Slavonic scholar. Once upon a time Luck met Intelligence on a garden-seat. Luck said to Intelligence: "Make a room for me!" But Intelligence was outraged: 'Why should I make a room for you? If you are no better than I am!" Luck answered, that he is much better. Luck and Intelligence started to argue. To solve their discussion Intelligence entered into the peasant who was ploughing in the field. When intelligence entered into the peasant, he dropped his plough and went home to tell his family that he doesn't want to be a plougher anymore. He went to the king's ownership to become a gardener. The peasant didn't listen the gardener's advices and finally became more skilled than the gardener. The king respected the peasant very well. The king had a beautiful daughter who always kept silence. One day the king said: "Whoever should bring it to pass that she should speak again, should be her husband!" Will he try to help the king's daughter?
