  David Galloway MD DSc was a Consultant Surgeon and is currently Honorary Professor of Surgery at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He was, until recently, the President of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow.  
  Alastair Noble PhD spent most of his career in science education and educational management and was latterly the Field Officer for School Leaders Scotland. Both are committed Christians.

  Then, more recently, I discovered that within our lives Time Waves are things I call 'Time Point Certainties' - These can be likened to the subatomic particles that carry up all other forces in the universe.  So, now we know that there are Time Waves that create a Time Field that is the flux that holds all other fields together in a 'Layer Cake' kind of assembly.  Inside all of this are points in time, like the one you are witnessing now that are the most important points of time you can recall.  All of this was designed by and is always maintained by a Cosmic Mind - who speaks to us all here.

These interpretative commitments illuminate an underlying metaphysics and allegiance to a culture of reason or feeling. The discussions engage with a broad range of writers and thinkers, such as Roland Barthes, Susan Sontag, Louis Menand, Michael Pollan, Greg Garrard, John Guillory, Amitov Ghosh, Pierre Bourdieu, and Barbara Herrnstein-Smith. The book draws upon not only a number of texts produced by wine critics, wine writers, literary critics, and theorists but also extensive interviews with wine writers and multiple California winemakers. These interviews contribute to a unique reflection on wine and meaning.
