Beschreibung

Cathy takes care of everyone else’s needs. This Christmas, who will take care of hers?

The holidays are coming. For Cathy, that means getting the house ready for her elderly mother’s arrival. Things are going to change in the New Year. She’ll be taking care of Mom full-time. It’s the right thing to do, but that doesn’t mean she’s looking forward to it.

Enter Jeremy, the young tenant who lives in her basement, and Vance, the rugged handyman who makes Cathy weak in the knees. If anyone knows how to look after Cathy, it’s these two guys!

Previously published as “Three in a Tub” in the anthology Vanilla-Free Christmas.

Emily Trigger and the Special Forces, the Prodigal Suns have been chasing the God of Magic and being chased by zombies all around the world and it's all come down to this.

    The final showdown. At last.

They think they have all the pieces together. The right people, an ancient goddess, and as much magical and good old-fashioned firepower to either lock Heka away for good or end him once and for all.

Of course, Heka has a few things up his bony sleeve as well. There are a few benefits to being the old ruler of magic. You can create your own mercenaries to protect you.

And whose side is Isis on anyway? Heka or the Prodigal Suns? Only time will tell.

This won't be a fight anyone will soon forget.

Have Emily and the Prodigal Suns trained enough, and do they know each other's strengths and weaknesses well enough to put a one in the win column? Or has Heka grown strong enough to defeat them and take over the world?

In one of Edgar Allan Poe’s most brilliant detective tales, C. Auguste Dupin faces a crime that is as much about intellect as it is about cunning. When a highly sensitive letter is stolen from the royal apartments by a shrewd and unscrupulous minister, the police search tirelessly—yet fail to find it. Called upon for help, Dupin applies his unparalleled powers of observation and deduction, proving that the best hiding place may be in plain sight.
The Purloined Letter is a masterclass in psychological intrigue and logical reasoning, a classic that continues to inspire the detective fiction genre.

I never felt truly desired by a man—until him.
The second he stepped foot into my small town Alaskan inn, his gaze swept over my curvy figure with desire, igniting a flame I thought was dead. He flirted with me, and I might’ve left two chocolates on his pillow at turndown, but that’s where it stayed.
Over the years, he’s floated in and out of town while a friendship developed between us. It’s probably for the best because I’m not a one-night stand kind of woman.
Which is funny because when he propositions me to be his fake fiancée in order to end a family feud, it turns out I am the kind of woman willing to pretend to be the one he’s in love with.

Mike Mansfield and his invisibles are back, trying to help a grieving family make sense of a terrible tragedy. But to their surprise, nothing about the event seems to make any sense, except that someone is trying to stop them at all costs, beginning with Mansfield.

As they gradually begin piecing the puzzle together, Mansfield and his team realize the original explanation of what took place is nothing of the sort. That the explanation was never meant to be anything but a mirage. And that Mike Mansfield is the last person they want involved. Because most people don’t know what Mansfield is capable of … until it’s too late.

    A genetically-altered clone. A college graduate. And it’s a long way to Canada…
Harper Rawls struggles to come to grips with her parents’ deaths - but it’s not going well. Accompanying her guilt and inadequacy, she’s somehow gained the attention of an anti-cloning extremist organization. Out of “respect for her father”, they now watch her every move.
Ordell Bentley, a genetically-altered clone, flees violence at the hands of the same group. Death stalks him through the nascent jungles of League City, Texas as he makes his way to his lover’s house to warn her, only to find Harper instead.
The only escape is through the mid-western desert, and Ordell has no food, no money, and no transportation. Hunted by the HPM and an unseen stalker, and plagued by a corporate-sponsored bounty that creeps steadily upward, the future is bleak…
Models and Citizens takes place in dystopian future where the climate has moved on, taking with it the jobs and dreams of the people. Models, genetically-altered clones like Ordell, work the jobs others won’t, and are hated for it, but since escape means death, most suffer in silence.
A cross between Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go and Bladerunner (based on Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep), this novel entertains from the first paragraph to the last sentence as Harper and Ordell struggle to survive in a post-climate change world. If you loved Atropos by John Lapuntich, you will enjoy this gripping thrill ride.
Models and Citizens is an action-packed rollercoaster of a novel that moves at a breakneck speed and leaves you asking for more. - Reader’s Favorite (5 - stars)

It takes a lot of effort for Jimmy Crocker to become Piccadilly Jim—nights on the town roistering, headlines in the gossip columns, a string of broken hearts, and breaches of promise. Eventually he becomes rather good at it and manages to go to pieces with his eyes open. But no sooner has Jimmy cut a wild swathe through fashionable London than his terrifying Aunt Nesta decides he must mend his ways. He then falls in love with the girl he has hurt most of all, and after that, things get complicated. In a dizzying plot, impersonations pile on impersonations so that (for reasons that will become clear, we promise) Jimmy ends up having to pretend he's himself. Does he deserve a happy ending?
