Synopsis

A physician’s life unravels into addiction and despair before being radically transformed by a single, overwhelming encounter with 5-MeO-DMT, the secretion of the Sonoran desert toad. Out of that experience of “divine light” emerges a new vocation as a healer and facilitator, blending modern medicine with entheogenic ceremony to help people face trauma, addiction, depression and fear of death. The book combines confession, case stories and spiritual teaching to present 5-MeO-DMT as both a dangerous initiatory fire and a sacrament that can reorient a life toward service, humility and nondual awareness.
