Synopsis

Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons God has given the Church. I’m glad to say Jesus never taught His disciples on how to sing or preach, but how to pray. That is because prayer is very important for destiny fulfilment. The lives of many people today got stopped because there is no one to pray for them. Prayer is a weapon of deliverance and dominion in times of battle.

Every child of God prays in their own way or definition. That is great! However, I came to discover that prayer is on different levels. Yes, prayer is not something you do because you are in trouble, but it must be a lifestyle. Prayer is the engine and fuel of your destiny. There are certain dimensions of breakthroughs you can never access without prayer. That is why prayer is so important!

I grew up in a place of extraordinary prayer and fasting. Hence, I discovered that there are different levels of prayer. Thus, in this book I will share deep insights or things that will birth a prayer revolution in your life to transform your life and generation.

Fresh introductions to the major “hidden books”Enoch’s Watchers and heavenly visions, Jubilees’ sacred calendar and rewritten Genesis, Meqabyan’s stories of resistance to idolatry, Baruch and Esdras’ deep wrestling with exile and injustice, the Books of Adam and Eve, the Psalms of Solomon, and other rare texts preserved in EthiopiaMany books and audiobooks repackage Enoch, Jubilees and a few apocrypha as mysterious secrets. This one goes further, showing how those texts actually function inside the Ethiopian Bible and how, together with the Didascalia, they shape liturgy, ethics, and concrete church order. If you don’t just want to collect lost books, but actually want to see how a wider canon can form a different kind of Christian life, Hidden Books of the Ethiopian Bible: A Guide to the Wider Canon will take you all the way from ancient manuscripts and apocrypha to liturgy, leadership, and everyday discipleship.

Countercultural Yet Biblical Advice for High School and College Students, Ideal for Graduation and Birthday Gifts
Most speeches addressed to high school and college students follow a similar theme: march to the beat of your own drum. This may sound encouraging on the surface, but Scripture exhorts believers to submit their lives to the will of God, not their own desires. Christian students need gospel-centered truth to guide them on their journey toward independence.
In this collection of inspiring sermons and graduation speeches, Kevin DeYoung delivers a motivational, biblical call to young people: serve God faithfully—and if necessary, counter-culturally—in the next season of your life. Do Not Be True to Yourself includes practical advice for cultivating a Christ-centered worldview in every area of adult life, including relationships, work, church participation, and spiritual growth, making it a transformational resource for mentoring students.

    - Written by Kevin DeYoung: Pastor and bestselling author shares relevant wisdom from past commencement speeches and sermons
    - Concise, Engaging Chapters of Counter-Cultural Advice: Christ-centered guidance that includes developing spiritual habits, prioritizing church attendance, fighting sexual sin, and temptation, and making godly decisions.
    - Includes Reading Guide: DeYoung suggests 12 classic Christian books every person should read, from writers including John Calvin, G. K. Chesterton, and R. C. Sproul
    - Perfect for graduation gifts, birthdays, or small group discussion

Inside you will find 3 books written without knowing how it all would end.
Book #1 The Death of The Promise
Book #2 The Resurrection of The Promise
Book #3 The Land of The Promise
I did not realize until I was prompted to write Book #3 that I had been working on a trilogy. The common theme seemed to come together as I was becoming a witness to The Faith of the First-Century Church. Jesus gives us a clear example of this faith in the Parable of The Ten Virgins. The five wise virgins lived in anticipation and preparation of the soon coming Bridegroom. The five foolish virgins did not and were locked out. Paul gives us an apostle's view of this faith in 2 Timothy 4:7&8 as he writes, "... I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge will award to me on that day (Day) - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
In Ephesians 4, Paul instructs teachers and preachers to make every effort to bring about unity of The Faith in The Body of Christ. The writer of Hebrews gives us this definition, "Faith is being sure of what is hoped for and certain of what we do not (yet) see.", 11:1. This is The Faith in The Second Coming and the awarding of eternal life. This fulfills The Promise of resurrection God made to Abraham. It is an error to believe that salvation is awarded to anyone prior to this event. It is a promise until Jesus comes back and can never to be possessed this side of the grave. "I declare to you brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable." 1Corinthians 15:50
