Beschreibung

What is a soul, exactly?
When 'Frankie,' the Frankenstein monster, discovers he lacks a soul, he becomes determined to acquire one so he can marry his girlfriend, Izzy. Frankie seeks help and returns to Castle Frankenstein, where he surprises Dr. Victor von Frankenstein and Igor. Although they are reluctant at first, they eventually offer their assistance. During their studies at Castle Frankenstein, they encounter Dr. Nabil Ur Thoth, who offers his help. At Nabil's request, they journey to Egypt, where they face numerous dangers and have life-altering adventures. Back in Transylvania, after a series of mishaps on a midnight walk in the woods, Count Dracula, The Wolfman, and Imhotep the Mummy all end up trapped in Frankie's body, leading to hilarious but potentially disastrous results. Can 'the boys' learn to get along despite being natural enemies? Can they grasp the science behind this mishap? Most importantly, can they save the world from a madman and help Frankie find a soul?

When Blake, the King of Death, made his way to a Psychic Expo, he entered with the expectation of encountering a multitude of individuals who were mere imposters, self-deceived individuals entangled in the illusion of having extraordinary abilities. He thought he'd be the only one with powers there.
He soon found he was wrong. In a gypsy tent, he met Monsieur Stardust, a man with a crystal ball dressed as a Gypsy fortune-teller.
"I saw you coming here?" said the Gypsy.
    Blake laughed.

It’s midnight. Turn out the lights, cuddle with your true love, and shiver to fright-meisters Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Louis Stevenson, and H. P. Lovecraft.
Quicken your pulse with the elegant terror of Henry James, Edith Wharton, and Guy de Maupassant. Chortle at the black glee of H. H. Munro and Ambrose Bierce.
These fourteen tales, plays, and poems, gleaned from cultures around the world, range from wickedly comic to deathly serious, from New England reserve to Gallic passion. This volume of late-night listening is a witch’s brew of readings and dramatizations seasoned tastefully, and—where appropriate—not so tastefully, with music and sound effects, under the direction of award-winning producer Yuri Rasovsky and his coven of twenty-odd—some very odd—performers.
Shut your eyes and give your mind a listen—if you dare.

What was the ultimate fate of Harley Warren?
What inspired the vile paintings of Richard Upton Pickman?
Why was the abandoned house on Benefit Street left to rot?
Though Lovecraft was chiefly known for his Cthulhu Mythos stories, he penned many other tales that explore equally terrifying concepts, many involving strange, subterranean spaces, peopled by ghastly and otherworldly beings.
Nine of these tales of the underground are collected here, in THE HORROR THAT LURKS BENEATH.
The collection includes two dramatic readings: PICKMAN'S MODEL and DAGON.

Bailey Chen is fresh out of college with all the usual new-adult demons: no cash, no job offers, and an awkward relationship with Zane, the old friend she kinda-sorta hooked up with during high school.
But when Zane introduces Bailey to his monster-fighting bartender friends, her demons become a lot more literal. It turns out evil creatures stalk the city streets after hours, and they can only be hunted with the help of magically mixed cocktails: vodka grants super strength, whiskey offers the power of telekinesis, and tequila lets its drinker fire blasts of elemental energy. But will all of these powers be enough for Bailey to halt a mysterious rash of gruesome deaths? And what will she do when the safety of a “real world” job beckons?
This sharp and funny urban fantasy is perfect for fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and grown-up readers of Harry Potter. Includes fifteen recipes from a book of ancient cocktail lore.
