Synopsis

THIS IS A COLLECTION OF RIVER CITY SHORT STORIES, featuring many of the characters you know from the series. I've included it in the series because many important events occur in (or make better sense after reading) these stories. However, it is not absolutely essential that you read these stories in order to follow the novels. If you wish to skip ahead to the next full novel, please do. If you choose not to, I believe your series experience will be richer. 
River City is full of detectives and mobsters, missing mummies and even a shootout with Gypsies...  
Dead Even features fifteen stories highlighting major and minor characters from the River City series, including series favorite Katie MacLeod, Detectives Finch and Elias, hard-luck Officer Paul Hiero, and transplanted gangster, Dominic Bracco. 
The good, the bad, and the in-between of River City come together in this fast-paced collection of theft, mystery, murder and detection, where the heroes of River City will keep fighting until the scales of justice are once again… Dead Even.
