Beschreibung

Intelligent, imaginative and kind Sara Crewe is the the only daughter of a man who thinks the best thing for her is a London education. Captain Crewe is a loving father, but mistakenly sends her to Miss Michin's Select Seminary for Young Ladies, where all is not quite what it seems. 
At first, Sara embraces the status of  'princess' afforded her, and lives up to it with compassion and generosity. But soon tragedy strikes and she finds herself thrown into the life of a lowly scullery maid, with no hope of escape.  
With unerring wit and determination she does her best to muddle through. But eventually it all becomes too much for her, and she falls into deep sorrow.
