  Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a 2010 action-comedy film directed by Edgar Wright, based on the graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O'Malley. The story follows Scott Pilgrim, a 22-year-old bassist in the indie rock band Sex Bob-Omb, who falls for Ramona Flowers, an enigmatic woman with a complicated past. To win her heart, Scott must face and defeat her seven evil exes in a series of surreal, video game-inspired battles. He formed his own band and shattered racial boundaries by sharing the spotlight with the African-American trumpeter Roy Eldridge.
