From New York Times bestselling author Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a Paranormal Rom-Com series filled with dark humor, angst, and a brooding hero who cannot love: The Immortal Tailor.
CAN HE PROTECT HER WITHOUT KILLING HER?
Long ago, Damien Greystone hung up his guns and knives for the quiet life of a tailor. It’s just him, his demonic chihuahua, and his Chinese takeout. Forever.
Oh, did he mention that he’s cursed, and everyone he cares for dies?
So when an insane goddess blackmails him into dusting off his tracking skills to locate a rabid fairy, Damien just wants to get the job done quickly and return to his mundane life.
    Until he meets Sky.
She’s beautiful, smart, and up to her ears in danger. He has no choice but to dig out his weapons.
But can he protect her without getting too close? Because his “curse of solitude” doesn’t negotiate, and bad things will happen if he feels anything for this woman.
    Maybe it’s already too late.

Fifty years after the end of the Vietnam War, literary voices of the Vietnamese-American diaspora as well as Vietnam-based authors speak to the experience of those who left and those who stayed in THE COLORS OF APRIL, a collection of new short fiction curated by award-winning translators and editors Quan Manh Ha and Cab Tran. For much of the twentieth century, Vietnam played an outsized role on the global stage, charting the destinies of superpowers and reshaping the world’s politics. Now fifty years after the end of the Vietnam War comes an anthology of fiction that finally speaks to the global Vietnamese experience: voices of both those who left and those who stayed, what was gained and lost in the half century since, and—for the generations that followed—what it means to be Vietnamese. More than two dozen distinct literary voices are featured in this collection, including Viet Thanh Nguyen (Pulitzer Prize winner, The Sympathizer), Andrew Lam (PEN/Beyond Margins Award winner, Perfume Dreams), Barbara Tran (Lannan Foundation Award winner, In the Mynah Bird's Own Words), Vu Tran (Whiting Award winner, Dragonfish) and many more. The stories are as diverse in style, tone, and subject matter as the ancestral lands of the Vietnamese people. From the rubble of the Ancient Citadel in Quảng Trị to the makeshift orphanages outside Sài Gòn, from Palo Alto to a tony Lincoln Park apartment in Chicago, the narratives straddle continents and generations, the political as well as the personal. But what they share is much greater than their differences. They speak to a common language, to a culture steeped in history and myth and storytelling that vividly captures the enduring spirit of the Vietnamese people. Editor Quan Manh Ha is Professor of English at the University of Montana and the co-translator of Other Moons: Vietnamese Short Stories of the American War and Its Aftermath, among other titles. Co-editor Cab Tran holds an MFA from University of Michigan’s Helen Zell Writers’ Program. His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Vagabond: Bulgaria’s English Monthly, Black Warrior Review, The Iconoclast, and elsewhere. He teaches fiction for Gotham Writers Workshop. In 2023, Ha and Tran co-translated and co-edited Bảo Ninh’s Hà Nội at Midnight. Complete list of contributors in alphabetical order: BẢO Thương, Thuy DINH, ĐỖ Thị Diệu Ngọc, Anvi HOÀNG, HOÀNG Phượng Mai, LẠI Văn Long, Andrew LAM, LÊ Phương Anh, LÊ Vũ Trường Giang, LƯU Vĩ Lân, Vi Khi NAO, NGÔ Thế Vinh, Annhien NGUYEN, NGUYỄN Minh Chuyên, NGUYỄN Huy Cường, NGUYỄN Thị Kim Hòa, NGUYỄN Mỹ Nữ, Phùng NGUYỄN, NGUYỄN Thu Trân, NGUYỄN Đức Tùng, Viet Thanh NGUYEN, Kevin D. Wes

When I was a kid, my dad was the gardener for the richest man in town. His daughter, Lily Barnes, told me she could never like a guy like me. Then she kissed me and told me it would never happen again. When it happened again, she told me she could never love me because she was going to leave this place, and I would never leave my dad.

We were never quite friends, not exactly enemies, and we could never quite stop secretly kissing each other.

She never said goodbye before running off to try to make it as an actress. That was her dream, and I wanted her to chase it. Okay, maybe I hated her for it, just a little.

Now she’s back, with no money and even more sass.

A lot has changed around here...except for my hidden feelings about Lily Barnes.

    Lily

So, it turns out I’m a terrible actress and now I’m back!

When my father offers me a job at his company, I actually think he’s finally decided I’m worthy of one day taking over the family business. Imagine my surprise when I find out that the gardener’s son is the one who’s being groomed to take over, and I’ve been assigned to work for him.

Wes Carver has always been rich in confidence and abs, but now he’s rich in everything, including disdain for yours truly.

If he thinks I’m not built to work, he’s wrong.

If he thinks he can boss me around just because he’s my boss, he’s delusional.

If he thinks I’m still the girl who could never love him...I may be a better actress than anyone thought.

Ken Barnard is a computer software engineer in his early thirties with very little going for him apart from the daily grind of a nine-to-five job during the week, going to the pub on Friday night and watching the match on Saturday. His lifelong passion, however, is spanking girl's bottoms. In the past, he had thought that girls his age or younger have the ideal bottoms to spank but that changed when his middle-aged neighbour locked herself out of her flat on purpose. After discovering the pleasure of spanking an older bottom, Ken finds that there are other middle-aged ladies who want to be spanked in every position imaginable.
    Philip Vincent

Another fun spanking series Sweet older ladies can benefit from spankings just as much as naughty little girls. I’m really enjoying this author's genre-busting sexy spanking stories.

Enjoyable With so many stories about thin young ladies and men being spanked this perspective was very enjoyable. Some nice erotic moments but spanking was the main theme. Well done and a very nice read
