Sinopse

Uga starts middle school, where she knows a lot of nice people like her friends Valeria, Giulia and Olga. She also has to face off against Sara, the classic show-off girl who never fails to make hateful jokes. Between “heroic” deeds and funny transgressions, the story becomes more complicated with the arrival of a mysterious epidemic. Uga and her classmates must turn upside down their habits: no more sports (a blessing for Uga!), no more friends nor hobbies. This is a book to make a journey through a particular year and to understand that Uga is not like the others, but she is so much more. She is funny and genuine, but also special. Like, after all, everyone.

It wasn't the diamond as big as the Ritz, but it was a pretty big chunk of ice, and it got the precocious pranksters of The Mad Scientists' Club entwined in an international intrigue only the intrepid investigators of Interpol could unravel. Take the seven young mad scientists of Mammoth Falls, stick them in an antiquated blimp bound for the Austrian Alps, along with two "hep" college girls and a zany professor of mysterious Rumanian origins — and you have the makings of a high-flying fun fest! If you're not already a fan of super-brain Henry Mulligan, dinky Dinky Poore, fat Freddy Muldoon, and the other unpredictable troublemakers that populate this series of mad adventure stories, you will be, once you listen to The Big Chunk of Ice.

Amie grew up listening to her father’s stories of a magical island called Pe’tuna. Wowed by his tales of their secret warrior lineage, she thought it was all fiction. Until the flood.
After witnessing her father, Makai, heroically save a man’s life during a freak storm, Amie comes face to face with a creature from her childhood stories and must confront the fact that the existence of Pe’tuna is not just mythical—it’s real.
As her father disappears into the storm, Amie and her family, accompanied by the man saved by Makai’s bravery, must navigate the waters aboard a raft with only one stop: Pe’tuna.
Armed with her hereditary warrior spirit, Amie leads her family on their journey to safety. The magic of the island awakens her true nature, and she follows in her father’s footsteps.
As Amie unlocks the secrets of her lineage, she connects with a shadow that seems to guide her every move. But who is it, and what are its intentions?
Will she complete the quest her father started many years earlier? Will her strength and magical roots prevail, or will she fall prey to the unknown mysteries of the island?

The World’s Greatest Stories are an award winning series of Bible stories combining the excitement of a story, the accuracy of a Bible narration, and the highest quality production values. The texts for all the stories are taken directly, word for word, from the Bible. They are told using the art of a dramatic storyteller and incorporate carefully chosen music and sound effects. The result is a very exciting story that comes straight from the words of Scripture. Vol. 3 – Beginnings includes five stories: In the Beginning, from Genesis 1-4; A Lame Man in Lystra, from Acts 14:8-22; A Jailer in Philippi, from Acts 16-11-40; The entire Book of Ruth; and The Raising of Lazarus, from John 11:1-12:11.
