Synopsis

"Indigenous Engineering" explores the often-overlooked ingenuity of ancient civilizations, highlighting their contributions to architecture, transportation, and water management. It argues that understanding these early innovations is crucial for a comprehensive view of engineering history and offers valuable lessons for contemporary sustainable design. The book examines architectural marvels like Mesoamerican pyramids, explores sophisticated transportation networks such as the Inca road system, and investigates ingenious irrigation methods like terraced farming.

The book is structured to first introduce the fundamental concepts of indigenous engineering and its significance in a historical context. Subsequent chapters delve into specific case studies, examining the architectural, transportation, and irrigation systems of selected indigenous cultures.

What sets this book apart is its focus on the engineering principles embedded within indigenous practices, moving beyond a purely historical or anthropological perspective. It analyzes these innovations through the lens of modern engineering, revealing the underlying scientific and mathematical principles at play.

The Annals was Tacitus' final work, covering the period from the death of Augustus Caesar in the year 14. He wrote at least 16 books, but books 7-10 and parts of books 5, 6, 11 and 16 are missing. Book 6 ends with the death of Tiberius and books 7-12 presumably covered the reigns of Caligula and Claudius. The remaining books cover the reign of Nero, perhaps until his death in June 68 or until the end of that year, to connect with the Histories. The second half of book 16 is missing, ending with the events of the year 66. We do not know whether Tacitus completed the work or whether he finished the other works that he had planned to write; he died before he could complete his planned histories of Nerva and Trajan, and no record survives of the work on Augustus Caesar and the beginnings of the Empire with which he had planned to complete his work as an historian. Over 10 years ago ... I made an incredible discovery for myself ... and I wrote it all down in my diary.
...I have even shared my draft before....
Frequencies are parallel worlds ... they are social strata of society ... and we all live on different frequencies ....
If I surround myself with people and things and food and music ... of frequency number 5 ... then I will connect to frequency 5 ... and if there is laziness on that frequency ... and if on that frequency ... people often break bones ... then I will become lazy and break my leg or my arm by accident ... when I leave the house ... in winter time ... when it's slippery ....
But at frequency 10 ... everything is different ... if you surround yourself with elements of frequency 10 ... then you get into another world ... where you will be always in a positive mood ... and have money ... and health ... and even your thoughts will be different ....
And I wrote about it ... when I was 20 years old ... in 2011 ... in the summer I first noticed it ... that there are different worlds ... and in different worlds ... there is a different me ....
Now I decided not to twist all my old materials about frequencies ... but to start from scratch ... once again ... to explain in detail ... what are frequencies ... and more precisely what is it... where you live in...

The Art of War is an ancient Chinese military treatise dating from the late Spring and Autumn Period (roughly 5th century BC). The work, which is attributed to the ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu, is composed of 13 chapters. Each one is devoted to a different set of skills or art related to warfare and how it applies to military strategy and tactics.
The Art of War remains the most influential strategy text in East Asian warfare, has influenced both East Asian and Western military theory and thinking, and has found a variety of applications in a myriad of competitive non-military endeavors across the modern world including espionage, culture, politics, business, and sports.
Considered one of history's finest military tacticians and analysts, his teachings and strategies formed the basis of advanced military training throughout the world.

I wish I had never met you. You've been nothing but an inconvenience. Guised as an instructive manual, A Handbook For My Lover chronicles six years in the life of an unconventional affair between a young writer and her older lover, a photographer. This sensuous epistle documents the woman's demands and desires, her fantasies and eccentricities as she negotiates the minefield that is their relationship in the absence of any destination. A Handbook For My Lover is an erotic memoir that revels in the ephemeral pleasures of everyday moments. Feisty and provocative, it is an examination of the shifting equations of power and vulnerability within the intimacies of love and lovemaking.
