The Digital Factory reveals the hidden human labor that supports today’s digital capitalism.

The workers of today’s digital factory include those in Amazon warehouses, delivery drivers, Chinese gaming workers, Filipino content moderators, and rural American search engine optimizers. Repetitive yet stressful, boring yet often emotionally demanding, these jobs require little formal qualification, but can demand a large degree of skills and knowledge. This work is often hidden behind the supposed magic of algorithms and thought to be automated, but it is in fact highly dependent on human labor.

The workers of today’s digital factory are not as far removed from a typical auto assembly line as we might think. Moritz Altenried takes us inside today’s digital factories, showing that they take very different forms, including gig economy platforms, video games, and Amazon warehouses. As Altenried shows, these digital factories often share surprising similarities with factories from the industrial age. As globalized capitalism and digital technology continue to transform labor around the world, Altenried offers a timely and poignant exploration of how these changes are restructuring the social division of labor and its geographies as well as the stratifications and lines of struggle.

In Israel and the Cyber Threat, Charles D. ("Chuck") Freilich, Matthew S. Cohen, and Gabi Siboni provide a detailed and comprehensive study of Israel's cyber strategy, tracing it from its origins to the present. They analyze Israel's highly advanced civil and military cyber capabilities and organizational structures to offer insights into what other countries can learn from Israel's experience. To achieve this, they explore how and why Israel has been able to build a remarkable cyber ecosystem and turn itself, despite its small size, into a global cyber power. The book further examines the major cyber threats facing Israel, including the most in-depth look at Iranian cyber policies and attacks; Israel's defensive and offensive capabilities and the primary attacks it has conducted; capacity building; international cooperation; and the impact of Israel's strategic culture on its cyber prowess. By placing Israel's actions in the realm of international relations theory, the book sheds light on many of the major questions in the field regarding cyber policies.

The most authoritative work to date on Israeli cyber strategy, this book provides a comprehensive look at the major actions Israel has taken in cyberspace. It also places them in the broader context of global cyber developments to help listeners understand state behavior in cyberspace.

At the age of fifty Bradley was a career officer who had never seen a day of action on the battlefield. Yet, by the end of the war, he had led American soldiers through some of the bloodiest fighting of World War Two—the final defeat of the Germans' Afrika Korps, the invasion of Sicily, and the historic Normandy invasion, before leading the advance across the Rhine.

Despite being such an instrumental leader of World War Two he was a modest man, professing only to do the best he could for his calling and his country.

How did this quiet and unassuming teacher from West Point rise to become the commander of the Twelfth United States Army Group, which ultimately comprised forty-three divisions and over one million troops, the largest American force ever united under one man's command? And how did he come to be known as 'the G.I.'s General'?

Charles Whiting's enthralling overview of Bradley and his career uncovers what he was like as a person, providing insight into his actions and leadership during the course of World War Two, before discussing his post-war career as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff through the course of the Korean War.

    Akhenaten the Nephilim God King...

Except for Cleopatra, no ruler of Ancient Egypt has provoked a greater flow of ink from the pens of historians, archaeologists, moralists, novelists, and Nephilim Researchers than the Pharaoh Akhenaten, who governed almost half the civilized world for a brief span during the fourteenth century BC. The reason for all this lively interest is easy to see, and he was the greatest Nephilim of them all. The historians, searching the conscious and unconscious that masquerades as the official records in Ancient Egypt, are often at a loss to protect the ruler's personality beneath all his trappings of power, the man beneath the divinity. In folktales with their element of sardonic ribaldry, the Nephilim Pharaoh is seldom represented as having human aspects. He is more significant than life in official utterances, a mere personification of kingship: only the office has any individuality, and the temporary holder is always cast in the same mold.
With Akhenaten, however, there is a departure from the norm. Here is a Nephilim Pharaoh who ostensibly broke with the sacrosanct traditions of a millennium and a half and showed himself as a human being in the intimate circle of his family, dandling his Nephilim offspring, kissing his wife or taking her on his knee, or leading his mother by the hand. Here is a ruler who does not appear as the all-conquering hero of gigantic size slaughtering the foes of Egypt or as the aloof divine King greeting one of the many deities as an equal. Here was a poet credited with having written hymns to his Nephilim God, which expect the Psalms of David, who introduced a new and vital art style of his conception to express his novel ideas. Above all, here is a courageous innovator who abandoned the worship of the multifarious gods of Ancient Egypt in their human and animal forms and substituted for them an austere monotheism with an abstract symbol by which to represent it.
