Synopsis

Fire Rose, the princess of the red rose elves, is quite different from what you would imagine an elf princess to be: she eats a little too much and doesn't fly very well – but she is full of energy and good ideas.

The rose elves live in the flowers of rose bushes in the middle of a large garden. One day, Fire Rose discovers a yellow rose bush at the other end of the meadow. Here she meets Princess Honey Rose and the yellow rose elves.

The Fire and Honey Rose elves quickly become friends. Together they go on a treasure hunt. New games are invented. A rainy Midsummer night's party can still be a success.

But above all, Fire Rose has to deal with the hostile rose elf Bloomelia.

A little boy thought it would great fun to call in a fire alarm to watch the firemen and their engines come to his house. When the firemen got there and found no fire they were upset. This happened two more times and after the third time the Fire Chief was so upset he told the little boy they would not come out to one of his alarms again. The next day the there really was a fire at the little boy's house and no matter how loud the little boy yelled the firemen would not respond and the house burned to the ground.

Arm of the Law by Harry Harrison - At one time—this was before the Robot Restriction Laws—they'd even allowed them to make their own decisions....
It was a big, coffin-shaped plywood box that looked like it weighed a ton. This brawny type just dumped it through the door of the police station and started away. I looked up from the blotter and shouted at the trucker's vanishing back.
    "What the hell is that?"
"How should I know?" he said as he swung up into the cab. "I just deliver, I don't X-ray 'em. It came on the morning rocket from earth is all I know." He gunned the truck more than he had to and threw up a billowing cloud of red dust.
"Jokers," I growled to myself. "Mars is full of jokers."
When I went over to look at the box I could feel the dust grate between my teeth. Chief Craig must have heard the racket because he came out of his office and helped me stand and look at the box.
"Think it's a bomb?" he asked in a bored voice.
"Why would anyone bother—particularly with a thing this size? And all the way from earth."
He nodded agreement and walked around to look at the other end. There was no sender's address anywhere on the outside. Finally we had to dig out the crowbar and I went to work on the top. After some prying it pulled free and fell off.
That was when we had our first look at Ned. We all would have been a lot happier if it had been our last look as well. If we had just put the lid back on and shipped the thing back to earth! I know now what they mean about Pandora's Box.
But we just stood there and stared like a couple of rubes. Ned lay motionless and stared back at us.
    "A robot!" the Chief said.
"Very observant; it's easy to see you went to the police academy."
"Ha ha! Now find out what he's doing here."

Is there really a human race?
Is it going on now all over the place?
    When did it start?
    Who said, ""Ready, Set, Go""?
Did it start on my birthday?
    I really must know.
With these questions, our hero's imagination is off and running. Is the human race an obstacle course? Is it a spirit? Does he get his own lane? Does he get his own coach?
Written with Jamie Lee Curtis's humor and heart and illustrated with Laura Cornell's worldly wit, Is There Really a Human Race? Is all about relishing the journey and making good choices along the way—because how we live and how we love is how we learn to make the world a better place, one small step at a time.

    Mars the Warning
Book 5 of 6 – the final exodus
    This fifth story in the series I have written is summarized below;
As Martian forces systematically dismantle human settlements, Dr. Lin Mei oversees the desperate evacuation of Outpost Alpha. Crystalline warriors disable terraforming equipment while permitting escape, their precision strikes demonstrating superior technology and restraint. General Drake, humbled by defeat, ensures military personnel evacuate last. When Martian forces surround Olympus Outpost, they broadcast haunting images of Mars' pre-human beauty before liquefying its foundations—not with violence, but with the inevitability of a planet reclaiming itself. Aboard the final transport Ares, Lin watches Mars recede, its surface now glittering with emerging alien cities. The Martians transmit a final message: "Leave and do not return," offering mercy but no forgiveness. As 342 survivors journey toward Earth, Lin clutches data proving Martian sentience, determined to prevent future colonization attempts. The exodus becomes a turning point—not just retreat from Mars, but the collapse of humanity's colonial mindset. The red planet fades to a warning light in the viewport, its lesson clear: the universe is not humanity's to conquer.
I do hope you enjoy this fifth instalment, and its only $3.
the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 plus minutes sets the scene, so to speak, this is heavy metal first but give it a chance and you will be surprised (I felt the martian beings would be extremely angry over humans trying to steal their planet hence the sound) ends with a warning sound music track like an alarm, 1 minutes plus.
The book itself runs to about 15 minutes and is narrated in my own voice.
I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!
