Synopsis

What's a butch to do? Ignore everything she believes or listen to her heart?
Shelly is a straight-talking gardener who doesn't believe in anything she can't see. Give her a square patch of earth, and she'll bring it to life. Hand over a power drill, and Shelly can knock together a fancy bedroom in under a day. Physical tasks are easy. If only people were as straightforward!
The problems arise when she begins work on a garden near the sea. The owner insists the property has a water issue and demands an excavation of the area. Shelly digs deep, but the ground is dry as sand. In frustration, she talks to the flowers. A sweet voice answers from inside an old lamp. It's a beautiful Jinni who badly needs the help of a buff woman. Shelly insists the voice is nothing but her own subconscious playing tricks. After all, it's been a year since her last relationship. Everyone gets lonely. Right?
Kind, loving Jinni. The unluckiest of magical spirits with a history of choosing the wrong mistress. All she's ever wanted is the love of a strong woman exactly like Shelly. Can Shelly find the strength to believe what's in front of her nose and make them both happy?

Some treasures are meant to be uncorked.
Auction director Austin Gillespie has one chance to save his career: authenticate the legendary “Lee bottles”—a cache of priceless vintage Madeira rumored to be hidden in the cellar of the decaying Georgia mansion known as Ballineen.
What he doesn’t expect to find is Jeff Brady.
Jeff is a sharp-eyed, stubbornly private PI with his own reasons for prowling Ballineen’s shadowy halls. One intoxicating night between them turns professional curiosity into something far more dangerous. Unfortunately, they want different things. Jeff doesn’t believe in love at first sight—and he certainly doesn’t believe in coming out of the closet.
When fraud, deception, and a suspicious death bubble to the surface, Austin discovers that not everything buried in Ballineen’s cellar is what it seems. And trusting Jeff might be the biggest gamble of all.
Because in Georgia, secrets age slowly…
and love can be as volatile as vintage wine.

Sequel to The Fog of War
Village nurse Walter Kennett is content with his makeshift found-family in tiny Bradfield. However, one midsummer morning a body is found floating in the village duck pond, dead by magical means.
Detective Simon Frost arrives in Bradfield to investigate an inexplicable murder. The evidence seems to point to Lucille Hall-Bridges, who lives with Doctor Sylvia Marks and Walter Kennett at Courtfield House. Simon isn't happy -- he doesn't believe Lucy is a murderer, but he's sure the three of them are hiding something. In the meantime, the draw he feels toward Walter takes him by surprise.
Walter is in a dilemma, concealing Sylvia and Lucy's relationship and not knowing how much to tell Frost about the paranormal possibilities of the murder. He isn't interested in going to bed with anyone -- he's got a complicated life and has to know someone really well before he falls between the sheets. He's taken aback by his own attraction to Detective Frost and is angry when Frost appears to twist the spark between them to something transactional in nature.
Will Walter be satisfied to stay on the periphery of Lucy and Sylvia's love affair, a welcome friend but never quite included? Or is it time for him to strike out and embark on a relationship of his own?
