Synopsis

Britney Spears is a famous singer who has had an amazing life, but it hasn't always been easy for her. She started as a little girl with a big dream in a small town in Louisiana. She worked hard and got a chance to be on a TV show called The Mickey Mouse Club, which made her very popular.

As Britney grew up, she fell in love with another singer named Justin Timberlake, but their relationship ended sadly - forced to abort her unborn child. She later married Kevin Federline, but people kept talking about them in the news, which made things tough.

Sometimes, Britney had a hard time dealing with being so famous. She went through some really difficult times and needed help with her mental health. Her dad started making all the decisions for her, which is called a conservatorship. This meant Britney didn't have much freedom for a long time - 13 year!

But Britney is a strong person who never gives up. She worked hard to get better and take back control of her life. She loves being a mom to her kids and keeps making amazing music that people all over the world enjoy.

Britney's story shows us that even when life gets really hard, we can be brave and keep going. She is a true inspiration to many people and proves that with determination, we can overcome challenges and follow our dreams.

"I am not moving to Iraq to teach."
But the recession came hard for Gretchen Berg. Tens of thousands of dollars in debt, her only option was to uproot her life and move to the Middle East for work. She was prepared to make some good money, pay off some bad debt, take some photos of camels, and suffer through expected misogyny typical of the Middle East. She was unprepared for the drama and chaos that erupted within the well-intended, burgeoning university program, and the comical carnival of personalities she’d encounter, along with unexpected misogyny coming from inside the building.
How far out of your comfort zone do you have to go to find yourself?
Hilarious and irreverent, I Have Iraq in My Shoe takes a single, broke, fashion-obsessed American female who prefers fashion shows to news shows and launches her into Iraq where her patience, assumptions, resolve, and sense of self will be put to the test.
It’s a different kind of desert storm.

Judy Gaman was so busy making a name for herself that she barely took the time to meet a stranger, enjoy life, or simply stop to breathe. Immersed in her job as the director of business development for a high-profile medical practice―a job that required her to write health and wellness books and host a nationally syndicated radio show―she spent every day going full speed ahead with no looking back. That is, until the day she met Lucille Fleming.
While writing a book on longevity, Judy interviewed Lucille, an elegant and spirited woman who had just recently turned 100. Lucille had the fashion and style of old Hollywood, but it was all hidden behind the doors of her assisted living center. What began as a quick meeting became a lasting friendship that transformed into an inseparable bond. Lucille brought incredible wisdom and great stories to the table, while Judy provided an avenue for excitement and new opportunities. Together, the two began living life to the fullest, and meeting the most interesting people along the way (including Suzanne Somers). But then Lucille’s life came to an end through unexpected and unfortunate circumstances―and the very first lesson she ever taught Judy proved to be the most important one of all.

Rarely does a trauma therapist disclose their own trauma history . . . yet it's the untold, brutally honest, incredibly heartbreaking story of Dr. Frank Anderson that made him the world-renowned trauma expert he is today.

Known for his magnetic and radiant personality, Frank spends his time training thousands of clinicians around the world on how to help clients with complex trauma make sense of their suffering. But underneath this charismatic exterior are his dark family secrets, including the marks of child abuse from his father and the invisible scars of shame.

In To Be Loved, Frank shares his confusing experience of growing up an outsider in a typical Midwestern Italian American home that was at one turn fiercely loving but at the same time unaccepting, abusive, and rife with secrets.

After enduring six years of therapy as a child in the 1970s, he was programmed to be something that he wasn't for decades, and became driven to create the perfect life—until it all fell apart.

It was only then that he realized resilience, forgiveness, and facing his trauma were the keys to living an authentic life—and finally knowing what it feels like to be loved.

It all started with a list of paintings. There, scribbled by a cousin she hadn't seen for years, were the names of the masters whose works once belonged to her great-grandfather, Jules Strauss: Renoir, Monet, Degas, Tiepolo, and more. Pauline Baer de Perignon knew little to nothing about Strauss, or about his vanished precious art collection. But the list drove her on a frenzied trail of research in the archives of the Louvre and the Dresden museums, through Gestapo records, and to consult with Nobel laureate Patrick Modiano. What happened in 1942? And what became of the collection after Nazis seized her great-grandparents’ elegant Parisian apartment? The quest takes Pauline Baer de Perignon from the Occupation of France to the present day as she breaks the silence around the wrenching experiences her family never fully transmitted and asks what art itself is capable of conveying over time.
