  Although Teotihuacan reached the height of its power and influence about 1500 years ago, the city is still an endless topic of fascination and debate, in addition to being Mexico’s most toured archaeological site. The origins of the city remain mysterious (as do the city’s founders), and scholars are still coming up with theories to explain the city’s demise. All the while, later Mesoamerican civilizations remembered Teotihuacan, and the Aztec even considered the city’s ruins a site of worship. 
  Cholula is one of the most interesting, enigmatic, and forgotten cities in ancient Mesoamerica, and few people are aware that it is the oldest continuously-occupied settlement in the entire Western hemisphere. The current city is known for the Great Pyramid, which has the largest base of all pyramids in the world, as well as its many colonial churches and constant religious celebrations. All of these things ensure that Cholula is heavily visited, but the tremendous importance of Prehispanic Cholula has mostly been lost in the historical accounts of Puebla and even Mexico as a whole. 
  During the height of Teotihuacan’s influence in the Classic period and the expansion of the Aztecs in the Postclassic, Cholula managed to maintain its independence and grew to become the greatest religious center in central Mesoamerica. As the main site for the cult of the god Quetzalcoatl, Cholula received pilgrims from many Prehispanic cities, and the two high priests of the Temple of Quetzalcoatl were charged with confirming the legitimacy of these foreign rulers, making their role one of the most important in the region. Most sources note that Cholula was a great religious center with a large pyramid, and that it was the site of a terrible massacre perpetrated by the Spanish, but other than that those details, the impressive city remains mostly unknown.

  Zdenka survived six concentration camps including Auschwitz, Gross Rosen, Mauthausen and Belsen – the worst of all. In the last chaotic days of the war in Belsen she crawled to a Red Cross post. There she was saved by an unknown British soldier to whom the book is dedicated.

They are helping a group of us who are here to help humanity directly with this ascension process. Part of our life contracts was to get this information, and we shared it as widely as we could.   This is hands down the most heartbreaking and thought provoking historical novel about Khe Sanh and even the Vietnam War you will ever have the honor to read. Other books are easier to read, yet none of them will leave you a believer like this book will. It is January, 1968 and Ernest returns to Khe Sanh from R&R to the opening of the longest battle in the Vietnam War. He is a Korean American Marine Commander and the Rifle Commander of Delta 6, leading over 250 men through the toughest of battles and conditions. The siege at Khe Sanh went on non-stop for 2.5 months. Life was shrunken to full time living inside bunkers, watching rations and supplies slide out the back of cargo planes as they flew low past Hill 881 and finding ways to remain hopeful while being unable to use camaraderie or communications to keep it real. What is to become of the survivors of this incredible battle? 
  Seldom is the author so true to himself and the memory of those lost that he is willing to blind others with their own tears and shame rather than sacrifice what he knows to be the true story. At the end of the book, the author, Ernest Spencer was faced with having to identify a casualty from his battalion. He says," Rodriguez is gone and I am still here. Why? I feel fear wash through me. They die while I watch. Who will care? How long will they care?" 
  Listen to this story and learn the haunting truths. It will probably make you feel uncomfortable. Take a few more moments and try to imagine first living the story and then laying it down on paper. It is our debt to read this book, in honor of those who have given more than we can ever imagine. And to remember what really mattered: the men and women who served and sacrificed for a country that has remained ungrateful. This book is pages and pages of heart and soul - bare naked anger, hate, suffering and despair. You will feel the weight of the Vietnam War in your hands.

  The False Consensus Effect refers to the cognitive bias where individuals overestimate the extent to which others share their beliefs, values, and opinions. This phenomenon can be seen across a wide range of social, political, and personal contexts, often shaping our perception of how common or widespread our views are. Essentially, people tend to assume that their experiences and perspectives are more universally shared than they truly are. This can lead to significant misunderstandings, skewed decision-making, and a distorted view of the world. 
  The roots of the False Consensus Effect trace back to psychological and social mechanisms. From a psychological standpoint, it arises from our natural tendency to see ourselves as typical and representative of a larger group. We are more likely to surround ourselves with like-minded individuals, reinforcing our views and making them appear more widely held. This is further exacerbated by our desire for validation and the comfort that comes from seeing our beliefs reflected in others. As a result, we are inclined to believe that our preferences or values are the norm, even when they may be quite particular to our own experiences. 
  Historically, social psychologists have studied the False Consensus Effect to understand the role of social influence in shaping human behavior. Researchers such as Lee Ross, who first identified the phenomenon in the 1970s, found that people would often overestimate the extent to which others agreed with their positions, even in matters where little or no evidence supported such a claim. This effect is not limited to extreme or controversial opinions but is also observable in everyday decisions and preferences, such as tastes in food, entertainment, or lifestyle choices.
