Surprisingly, I found God through some bad things when I was little. He knew what my battles would be and that I’d need an unshakeable faith, so He made Himself known to me when I was young. I don’t think I even understood the miracles, but I knew He was real, so I had two options - not serve a God I knew was real or serve Him faithfully.
God gets all the glory. I couldn’t do this on my own. Every day I walked through the fire, I did it not by my own might. God made a path through the wilderness. There’s nothing I could accomplish without God. It’s not my legacy; it’s His. I’m not the main character; just a puzzle piece in the bigger picture - a life willing to be laid down. But I couldn’t keep the goodness of God to myself. In the end, I hope you find Him as you read my story. I hope you see His goodness through the darkness. That we may know our God, and see Him, and the only thing I strive for is to know Him and make Him known.
Only through faith could I forgive and see that those who contributed to my trauma were experiencing their own. They were victims too. That’s when I decided I wasn’t going to be a victim, but a survivor. That journey started with forgiveness.
Maybe the magic is just the sharing of faith and Jesus. He trusted us with our testimony because He knew we would share His faithfulness! We need to love and forgive as freely as Jesus has loved and forgiven us!
“‘And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.’” Ezekiel 36:26-27
God doesn’t just change some parts of you; He makes you entirely new! He gives you a new heart that is after Him. He transforms you. He puts His very own Spirit within you, empowering you to live a righteous and holy life. By His Spirit, you are equipped to succeed and become victorious in every area of your

In turns beloved and reviled, twentieth century art, painter, filmmaker, and designer Salvador Dalí set Europe and the United States ablaze with his uncompromising genius, sexual sadism, and flirtations with megalomania. His shocking behavior and work frequently alienated critics; his views were so outrageous, even prominent Surrealists tried to ostracize him. Still, every morning he experienced "an exquisite joy—the joy of being Salvador Dalí," and, through a remarkable talent that invited bewilderment, anger, and adoration, rose to unprecedented levels of fame—forever shifting the landscape of the art world and the nature of celebrity itself.

In this stunning volume, noted art historians Jean-Pierre Isbouts and Christopher Heath Brown discuss the historical, social, and political conditions that shaped Dalí's work, identify the impact of Modern as well as Old Master art, and present an unflinching view of the master's personal relationships and motivations. With their deeply compelling narrative, Isbouts and Brown uncover how Dalí's visual wit and enduring cult of personality still impacts fashion, literature, and art, from Andy Warhol to Lady Gaga, and seeks to answer why, in an age of shock and awe, Dalí's art still manages to distress, perplex, and entertain.

From a National Book Award finalist, an “entertaining and inspiring” biography of the heroic Gettysburg commander, college president, and governor of Maine (Senator George J. Mitchell).   This is a vivid account of the life of Joshua Chamberlain, whose is best known for leading a successful bayonet charge against a Confederate assault that was memorialized in the film Gettysburg—and earned Chamberlain the Medal of Honor. But his life was long and his military, political, and academic careers were filled with numerous notable accomplishments as well, among them the governorship of Maine and presidency of Bowdoin College, before his Civil War wounds finally caught up with him in 1914. This account, with illustrations included, tells his absorbing, wide-ranging story, explores his continuing mystique, and paints a vivid picture of late nineteenth-century New England.   “A worthy tribute to Chamberlain’s lasting legacy.” —Civil War Book Review “Joshua Chamberlain was much more than a war hero, and Pullen’s thoughtful book fills out the picture of his remarkable life.” —Senator George J. Mitchell   “Reveal[s] a complicated character, without diminishing the almost mythic status he has assumed.” —The Washington Times

From the cockpit of a Boeing 737 to the sun-kissed shores of Kiribati, Lady MacGyver is a remarkable memoir of grit, courage, and sky-high ambition.

Michelle Huntington's dream of flight took root at the age of seven—and, against all odds, she became one of just 500 female airline captains worldwide. Over two decades, she’s flown solo across vast oceans, landed on rugged outback strips, and even survived a lightning strike mid-flight.

Michelle’s journey through the aviation world is anything but conventional. She navigates a turbulent path, sidestepping naysayers and confronting systemic barriers. Through it all, she proves that with MacGyver-style ingenuity—and maybe a touch of insanity—no challenge is insurmountable.

Told with sharp wit and unflinching candour, Lady MacGyver is packed with exhilarating adventures and powerful insights into resilience and resourcefulness. Today, Michelle channels her experiences beyond the cockpit, speaking globally on neuroplasticity and mindset transformation, helping others face adversity and embrace change with clarity and conviction.

More than a memoir, Lady MacGyver is an inspiring tale of rising above limitations, and when the going gets tough, finding the strength to soar.
