Synopsis

In 1960s Reading, ten-year-old Billy McCarty’s life changes when his aunt arrives from America with an unexpected gift: a denim jacket stitched with the name Billy the Kid.

Sharing the same name with the legendary outlaw sparks something in Billy, inspiring him to lead his own gang of mischief-makers. From chasing ghosts in abandoned mansions to skinny-dipping escapades gone embarrassingly wrong, Billy, Pinky, and Porky find trouble wherever they go.

But beneath their adventures, Billy carries the weight of loss and a growing awareness of something bigger guiding his path. As strange coincidences start to shape his journey, Billy begins to wonder if destiny has a hand in his story after all.

A warm, nostalgic adventure set in 1960s England, A KID CALLED BILLY is a coming-of-age tale full of humour, heart, and a dash of the extraordinary.

Schlock horror director Landis Woodley lives in a decaying mansion in the Hollywood Hills. When he abandoned the movie business—after being reduced to filming skin flicks and peep shows—he also left a laundry list of enemies, including the IRS. But avid fan Clint Stockbern is determined to write a piece on the alcoholic recluse for Monster magazine. Woodley agrees to the interview—for $600 in cash.

As the tape recorder starts rolling, Stockbern travels back in time with Woodley. He hears recollections of Attack of the Haunted Saucer, the worst movie of all time, and Blood Ghouls of Malibu. But he really wants to know about Woodley's masterpiece, Cadaver. Shot on location in the Los Angeles County morgue, the film was rumored to have used real corpses and everyone associated with the production has been fatally haunted since its 1957 release. But the truth is far more terrifying than Stockbern imagined. Is a dead Satanist, possessed by the devil, reaching out beyond the grave? Or is the reporter the final victim in a diabolical scheme dreamed up by mortals?

Horror Show is a wild and wacky romp that sends up mid-century Hollywood horror movies and schlockmeisters Roger Corman, William Castle, and Ed Wood.

Nora Roberts meets Yellowstone, in the vein of C.J. Box, Craig Johnson, and Christine Carbo.
"Irresistible." Robert Dugoni, #1 Amazon Best-selling Author of My Sister's Grave
Former prosecutor Jenn Herrington, a transplant from the big city, defends criminals by day and writes fictionalized mysteries based on her cases by night in a throwback, rugged cowboy town with more bars than churches—tiny Big Horn Wyoming, on the eastern slope of the Bighorn Mountains.
BIG HORN: When an investment guru turns up dead in the septic tank behind her husband’s new Wyoming lodge, Jennifer must put the campaign that could make her the youngest ever female district attorney in Houston on hold to defend the well-lubricated lodge caretaker, or he’ll go down for a murder she’s convinced he didn’t commit.
WALKER PRAIRIE: When former prosecutor and mystery writer Jenn Herrington's veterinarian husband Aaron is summoned to examine new performance horses at Big Horn, Wyoming’s WP Bar Ranch, he discovers the obnoxious California owner dead in his Jaguar at the bottom of a sheer, icy roadside cliff. Deputies arrest their beloved friend and contractor Black Bear Betty, whose tractor left tire tracks up to the cliffside, and whose disgruntlement with Glen is no secret.
RED GRADE: When the star of a successful polo team falls dead from his horse during a match in Big Horn, Wyoming, the rich and famous are soon reeling under accusations of underground betting and illegal horse drugging. The stakes are high, so the inexperienced county attorney brings in former prosecutor Jenn Herrington to assist. But as evidence mounts against her veterinarian husband Aaron, a horrified Jenn has to ask herself whether she really knows the man she married... and whether she is willing to risk her legal career to uncover his secrets.
