Beschreibung

Tutankhamun, Tutankhamon or Tutankhamen (c. 1341 BC – c. 1323 BC), also known as Tutankhaten, was the antepenultimate pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of ancient Egypt. His death marked the end of the dynasty's royal line.

Sir Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge (27 July 1857 – 23 November 1934) was an English Egyptologist, Orientalist, and philologist who worked for the British Museum and published numerous works on the ancient Near East. He made numerous trips to Egypt and the Sudan on behalf of the British Museum to buy antiquities, and helped it build its collection of cuneiform tablets, manuscripts, and papyri. He published many books on Egyptology, helping to bring the findings to larger audiences. In 1920, he was knighted for his service to Egyptology and the British Museum.

You’ll move on from being a passive and analytical observer to being an active and rebellious co-player. And you’ll attune your ‘MBS’ – an amazing navigation tool that teaches you how to combine your Mind, Body and Soul, so that you are able to see, feel and believe in the future you want to create.
With 'Future Sense’ in your hand, you’ll not just be able to navigate the future. You’ll also know how to design the rules of the game yourself. The future will no longer hit you on the way out, for you will be the futurist, who can change the rules of the game and create a better world for others.
‘Future Sense’ unlocks a new and better mode called Planetary. And you can only win this mode if the other players win as well. Success in the future is not about ‘more,’ it’s about ‘better.’
When you can predict your own future, you must use the insight you gain to create a better life, but you can’t do it on your own. If you’re in the game for ‘more,’ you might win, but you’ll ruin the whole world in the process.

When I walked into the newly reconstructed gym, I expected an hour of straightforward exercise—a quick workout to make up for a lazy session earlier that week. The shiny equipment gleamed under the bright lights, promising efficiency. I stuck to what I knew: bicep curls and tricep dips, not venturing into the rest of the mysterious, state-of-the-art machines right away.
But when it was time to shower, it was a completely different story. I tried the individual shower but the water was freezing cold, I was about to leave stinky as I noticed the big communal shower where men didn't seem to rush. I was nervous at first, but after what I experienced there... I don't think I'll ever use the shower cabin ever again.

Rene Descartes is often described as the first modern philosopher, but much of the content of his Meditations on First Philosophy can be found in the medieval period that had already existed for more than a thousand years. Does God exist? If so, what is his nature? Is the human soul immortal? How does it differ from the body? What role do sense experience and pure reason play in knowing?

Descartes stands out from his predecessors because of the method he developed to treat these and other fundamental questions. Drawing on his study of mathematics, he searches for a way to establish absolutely certain conclusions based on indubitable premises. His importance in modern philosophy lies in the challenge he offers to every subsequent thinker in philosophy and science.

The Loyalists in the American Revolution is the detailed story of the formation of the Tory or Loyalist party in the American Revolution ; its persecution by the Whigs during a long and fratricidal war, and the banishment or death of over one hundred thousand of these most conservative and respectable Americans is a tragedy but rarely paralleled in the history of the world.
This book includes matters necessary for an understanding of the Revolution, but hitherto, for the most part, neglected, and in many cases inaccessible.
