Beschreibung

From the little community of Morgan’s Bluff, located on the very banks of the Sabine River near Orange, Texas, to Israel, the land where our Lord Jesus Christ came into this world to redeem fallen mankind from their sinful condition. This is an amazing story of how God can use anyone He chooses to spread His Word. This book will bring laughter at the funny stories that took place in the fishing, hunting, boating, fast cars and student pranks that were done in my school years.
There are humorous accounts of shoplifters being caught and terrorized by store managers, as well as amazing accounts of how God provided time and time again for a simple ministry that has grown to a world-wide ministry, reaching billions with God’s Word.
You can read many recent real life testimonies of students who have suffered great persecution at the hands of the enemy and also be blessed to read how God has used this ministry to transform their lives through His Word. This book is my life story from the humble beginnings in Orange, Texas, to now, President Of The Bread Of Life International Bible Correspondence Institute. But even more than that, it is a testimony of how God can use anyone who is willing to allow Him to lead and direct their lives and trust in His ability to do so, and not their own abilities. To God be the glory how He continues to reach down to fallen man with His love through simple men and women who are not afraid to live by faith.

Bestselling Author Kevin DeYoung Explores Jesus's Foundational Prayer
Christians know the importance of prayer, but the act of praying can be a real challenge. Some have the desire, but not always the will; others worry they don't do it well. Books about prayer usually emphasize spiritual discipline, but that can foster more guilt than reassurance. So how can Christians improve their prayer life, embracing the privilege of communicating with God?
In The Lord's Prayer, Kevin DeYoung closely examines Christ's model for prayer, giving readers a deeper understanding of its content and meaning, and how it works in the lives of God's people. Walking through the Lord's Prayer word by word, DeYoung helps believers gain the conviction to develop a stronger prayer life, and a sense of freedom to do so.

Exploring Unity as a Fruit of the Gospel
Christians most effectively serve others and advance God's kingdom when they are in biblical unity with one another. Unfortunately, modern Christians seem to be divided on countless issues related to ministry, culture, the church, and even unity itself. Some prioritize organizational unity over gospel truth, while others only seek unity with those who share their same doctrinal beliefs.
In this short, accessible guide, author Conrad Mbewe explores unity as a fruit of the gospel. He finds that biblical unity is only achieved after understanding what God has done through Christ and how it is continuously executed by the Holy Spirit. This biblically centered book encourages readers to respond to Paul's apostolic plea of "standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel" (Phil. 1:27), embracing unity as a valuable, God-given blessing.

    - Encourages Unity: Explores unity as a fruit of the gospel that is only understood through what God has done through Christ and executed by the Holy Spirit
    - Practical Study: This concise guide encourages Christians to stand firm in the spirit and in unity with others

To mature as a man is to grow in virtue. And yet, year after year, many of us regress in our fundamental calling for a host of reasons: poor catechesis, modernism, isolation, self-absorption, and, to sum it up, the chains of vice. But God calls us to a life of virtue—that is, a life of faith, hope, charity, prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. These theological and cardinal virtues, the “traditional virtues,” which this book walks through, are at the heart and soul of the spiritual life.
We often think we know what “the virtues” are, and perhaps we even dismiss them as being dry or abstract. But in The Traditional Virtues According to St. Thomas Aquinas, Jason Craig shows us how the insights and teachings of the Angelic Doctor can rescue Catholics from the common distortions of relativism, overpromising self-help programs, and impotent platitudes that reduce good living to “being nice.” This timely work is laid out as a study for fathers and leaders of men, providing a common language and understanding for not only a manly life but a happy one.
Surveying St. Thomas Aquinas’s entire treatise on the virtues, while highlighting those aspects that touch most powerfully on the life of fathers, leaders, and mentors, this book is broad yet very practical. Along with a weekly lesson derived from Aquinas, there are also short daily directions for reading through a large portion of the New Testament to help ground and highlight his insights on Scripture and stretch the lessons through the whole week. With Aquinas’s own prayers for virtue, wisdom, and purity included in this book, The Traditional Virtues According to St. Thomas Aquinas will challenge every Catholic man to reach the heights of holiness.
