Synopsis

Dr. Daljeet Singh Ji has done a truly commendable job by writing this book. Nowadays, due to the influence of Derawad (sectarianism) and self-proclaimed preachers, the true meanings of Gurbani — especially the deeper interpretations — have been kept away from the Sangat (congregation). Because many of these individuals lack proper understanding, they end up misinterpreting Gurbani, causing much confusion. To counter this one-sided preaching, the author has included essays from various scholars in this book, ensuring that listeners or readers do not get misled in any way. Similarly, the book explains Gurbani verses in detail, providing both literal (word-by-word) and contextual meanings, so that readers can grasp the true essence of Gurbani with depth and clarity.
