Corpses Say The Darndest Things: After the wife of a beloved Chicago televangelist dies, aging private eye Nod Blake gets dumped in the middle of it - on his head. Blake believes dead people are talking to him, but are the victims really begging the gumshoe for help from the other side of the grave? When Blake's nemesis, Detective Lieutenant Wenders, finds evidence that Blake is the murderer, the private dick's life becomes a great big soup sandwich.

Red Herrings Can't Swim: The cynical, wise-cracking private eye is back. From beyond the grave, victims of crimes past are begging for Blake to solve their murders. Meanwhile, in the real world, he's flummoxed by vandals, threats to his life, raucous suspects and a homicide detective happy to pin killings on him.

Murder Can Be A Mistake: Once again, Nod Blake has been dumped in the midst of murder most foul. He is psychically besieged by victims, begging him from beyond the grave to solve their murders. In the real world, he has to deal with an anonymous blackmailer, death-defying stunt men - and a homicide detective who seems to think that Blake is behind it all.

Scores are being settled. A former assistant district attorney. Henry Xavier O'Grady, known to his friends as Irish Henry, is in the midst of it.
Henry encounters Martin "the Kid" Montague, a writer and a witness to the JFK assassination. The Kid has feared for his life since that event. Henry and the Kid each have their own enemies, a direct result of how well they do their jobs. Some of these enemies are the same, namely the local mob, but others are jealous co-workers. The pair's troubled histories catch up with them in the Big Easy and lead to a denouement that offers insight to the tragic event in Dallas.
With touches of international intrigue and romance, this mystery novel offers an alternative theory to the lingering question of the JFK assassination.

    Witch, humbug.

Forty and fabulous is my motto. It's been twenty years since I escaped Whispering Willows and my humble beginnings. Now I live in LA, working my dream job as head witch at a growing corporation, getting paid the big bucks to cast spells some might find morally questionable.

    Life is perfect.

Until the night my boyfriend surprises me with a "romantic" getaway in the middle of nowhere, and I find a shovel and rope in his trunk. Romance is truly dead.

Worse, I somehow cast a curse upon myself. Now some stalker ghosts want to force me into my past, present, and future. I have to return home, the only place I can get the answers I need.

All while dealing with a mother who hasn't forgiven me for leaving and a childhood best friend who's aged into a sexy werewolf.

Forget head witch, I'm going to be a dead witch unless I find a way to stop these ghosts from taking my soul, and any chance of redemption I may have along with it.

"Ex Oblivione" is a prose poem by American horror fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft, written in late 1920 or early 1921 and first published in The United Amateur in March 1921, under the pseudonym Ward Phillips. It is written in first person and tells of the dreams of a presumably dying man. In his dreams, the man is walking through a valley and encounters a vine-covered wall with a locked bronze gate therein. He longs to know what lies beyond the gate. Then one night, the man dreams of the dream-city Zakarion, in which he finds a yellowed papyrus written by wise dream-sages who exist only within the dream world. The papyrus tells of the gate, with varying accounts of what lies beyond: some of the dream-sages tell of immense wonders, while others tell of horror and disappointment. Despite this lack of unanimity, the man still wishes to see for himself, even knowing that whichever of these is true, there will be no return. Thus he reads further into the papyrus and learns of a drug which will unlock the gate. The next night he swallows the drug and returns to the gate which is now ajar, but upon entering, he discovers that indeed both accounts within the papyrus are in a sense true: beyond is the wonderment of forever being free from the pain of the real world and the happy surprise that nothing lies beyond the gate but the infinite void that is death.
