With the talks to relinquish Van concluded, Souma returns to the Kingdom to meet face-to-face with the primary culprit of the rebellion, Georg Carmine. When Souma presses Georg about reasons for committing such a crime, the man remains silent. Refusing to talk, and no recourse left, the once famed general is offered “poisoned wine” as a means of atonement...

Following this, Castor Vargas, the remaining culprit in the rebellion, is put to trial.

“What do you think is the appropriate judgment for fools who raised the flag of rebellion against me?”
