Using a combination of mathematical analysis and computational experiments, we reveal that the effectiveness of Hill's method is strongly correlated with the frequency distribution of letters in the ciphertext and the degree of deviation from a uniform distribution. Our findings provide a deeper understanding of the vulnerabilities of substitution ciphers and offer insights into designing more robust encryption schemes.
