Beschreibung

David Copperfield is the novel that draws most closely from Charles Dickens's own life. Its eponymous hero, orphaned as a boy, grows up to discover love and happiness, heartbreak and sorrow amid a cast of eccentrics, innocents, and villains. Praising Dickens's power of invention, Somerset Maugham wrote: "There were never such people as the Micawbers, Peggotty and Barkis, Traddles, Betsey Trotwood and Mr. Dick, Uriah Heep and his mother. They are fantastic inventions of Dickens's exultant imagination...you can never quite forget them."

They thought it was just an animal.
A strange, oversized creature brought aboard a ship as cargo—something to be sold, eaten, or discarded. But as the journey unfolds, it becomes clear that the real danger isn’t what the crew brought with them… it’s what they failed to understand.
What begins as a routine transport turns into a quiet, unsettling confrontation with intelligence, identity, and the limits of human perception.
From visionary science fiction author Philip K. Dick, Beyond Lies the Wub is a sharp, thought-provoking tale that challenges what it means to be truly sentient—and who gets to decide.
A short, gripping listen that lingers long after the final line.

Arctica follows a woman’s explorations of Greenland while hiking the Arctic Circle Trail and offers rich imagery that enhances dream life and balances the points of interest with a sleep inducing cadence.
Arctica is part of The Boring Story series, follow for more information and to see other audiobooks in the series.
The Boring Story series utilises a unique blend of storytelling techniques informed by Yoga Nidra and Jungian concepts to help children and adults find a restful nights sleep.
As a lifelong insomniac, I recognised sleep resistance when trying to get an eleven year old to fall asleep, nothing worked and I had the familiar forlorn feeling that sleep would always be a challenge for some. In desperation, I told the eleven year old that I would tell her the most boring story that ever existed, and used some of my training from Yoga Nidra to help her feel relaxed while paying attention to the story. I indulged in some fun archetypal symbolism and larger than life ideas, and then altered my cadence very slowly to induce sleep. It worked within five minutes. Over the next few weeks I honed the skill and tested it on other children and adults, and soon enough I had a very successful tool to alleviate insomnia.
