Synopsis

Introduction 
In ‘Panola Explores the World at Christmas,’ we meet Panola, a bright and imaginative 12-year-old with a love for science, maps, and exploration.  
Rooted in her African American and Dominican heritage, Panola’s story is one of curiosity and dreams. As her family celebrates their traditional Noche Buena, Panola dreams of embarking on an incredible adventure.  
With her loyal kitten, Gata, and the magic of her imagination, she sets off on a journey to experience Christmas traditions across the world. 
From her Harlem brownstone to the far reaches of Africa, Asia, and beyond, Panola discovers the beauty of different cultures, the wonder of the natural world, and the joy of Christmas in its many forms.  
This heartwarming tale inspires young readers to embrace their curiosity, celebrate diversity, and imagine the limitless possibilities of their dreams.
