Beschreibung

'That's all I ask from anyone. That we try to make the people happy.'
Bill Shankly had one aim: to make Liverpool Football Club invincible.
As its manager from 1959, he secured the team promotion, the First Division title, the FA Cup and success in Europe. For fifteen years, he defined what it was to be a Liverpool fan, and demanded total loyalty from his players and coaches. A loyalty that Bill hoped would be repaid when he retired...
David Peace's iconic novel Red or Dead is the fictionalised story of a game, a life, and a man of two halves. This stage version was adapted and directed by Phillip Breen, and first performed at Liverpool's Royal Court in 2025, with a cast including Peter Mullan as Bill Shankly.
The novel was shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Prize and has been widely acclaimed:
'David Peace brings perfect pitch to this ode to Bill Shankly's Liverpool reign' Frank Cottrell-Boyce, Observer
'A love letter to a great manager, an elegy to the beautiful game' Independent
'So hypnotic that even the football-averse might enjoy it' Guardian

Having developed an impressive reputation for his many novels and non-fiction works, Richard Wagamese now presents a collection of stunning poems ranging over a broad landscape. He begins with an immersion in the unforgettable world where “the ancient ones stand at your shoulder … making you a circle / containing everything.”
These are Medicine teachings told from the experience of one who lived and still lives them. He also describes his life on the road when he repeatedly ran away at an early age, and the beatings he received when the authorities tried “to beat the Indian right out of me.” Yet even in the most desperate situations, Wagamese shows us Canada as seen through the eyes and soul of a well-worn traveller, with his love of country, his love of people. Through it all, there are poems of love and music, the language sensuous and tender.

Written for boys who like to eat other people's sorrows, or not eat at all, and for girls who love them regardless.
Nick and Mark are 20-something nihilists with nothing but Thursday evenings, a mattress, and the weight of their own thoughts. In one final attempt to find meaning, they give themselves a week to search. If they fail, they jump.
We’re Jumping Tomorrow is an intimate, hauntingly poetic novella designed to be read in one sitting, like stumbling upon a stranger’s tragic story online, finding empathy for them, and then scrolling away. Combining sharp cynicism with raw, visual prose, it captures the fleeting yet profound nature of human connection, mental illness, and the quiet desperation of young adulthood.
Never quite meant for the public eye, We’re Jumping Tomorrow holds enough importance to be released anyway. Though darkness and pessimism spread throughout its pages, an unshakable sense of humor and self-deprecation stand firm, reflecting this generation’s ability to face even the most gruesome thoughts with a grin.
