Synopsis

The first three books in 'Keep In The Light', a series of horror fiction by David Musser, now available in one volume!

Keep In The Light: Janet's world changes drastically when she encounters a supernatural entity that replaces her mundane worries with those of primal terror. In her new reality, humans are no longer at the top of the food chain. Janet and her loved ones must confront their deepest fears and fight to survive in a world on the brink of darkness.

Whispers of Gray: Sara and Jeff, a couple haunted by their past, are trying to understand what happened to them and how to move on. When Sara is approached by a mysterious benefactor with an unusual request, they come face to face with an ancient evil. As Jeff's memories resurface, the lines between reality and nightmare blur. Trying to uncover the secrets only her nightmares hold, can they prevail over the dark forces that threaten to consume them?

Bad Humans: Rodney has always had a crush on Liz: the only person who was kind to him. Armed with a magic artifact, Rodney and Liz can see the evil in people. They encounter two such people: an ambulance driver who causes accidents so she can rush to the scene and save the lives she just took, and a nursing home orderly who enjoys taking advantage of the helpless. As these natural evils intersect with the supernatural force they've encountered earlier, will the Man in White be on time to save them from an even greater evil?

"The Shadow Out of Time" is a novella by American horror fiction writer H. P. Lovecraft. Written between November 1934 and February 1935, it was first published in the June 1936 issue of Astounding Stories. The story describes time and space travel by mind transfer. The premise is that a person in a given place and time can switch bodies with someone who is elsewhere or elsewhen. Other writers have re-used this concept in later works, such as drinking tea from Red Forest leaves in the television series 12 Monkeys and long-range communication stones in the Stargate SG-1 television series. As with other Lovecraftian works, this story features otherworldy alien beings that are not simply variations on humans or other familiar terrestrial animals.
