Beschreibung

Ginger the cat is the centerpiece of a lucrative entertainment and merchandising empire. A blue Christmas seems certain when his owner Katherine passes away right before Thanksgiving.
Katherine's will appoints her loving and loyal groundskeeper Baily as executor, leaving estranged grandson Del livid. Since Del wasn't around, it's stipulated he must spend thirty days under the same roof as Ginger and Baily to get to know the cat as a loving companion, not just a commodity, in order to share in any inheritance.
As the men bond over the weeks leading into Christmas, Baily is unaware Scrooge-like Del is sneaking around, searching out cash and other valuables. Will they be able to make nice once Baily discovers Del's naughtiness? Which list does Ginger end up on? And what will Katherine's last gift to each man mean to their future?

Burning is control. Craving Killian's touch is surrender.

Jamie has never claimed to be good. He's a former hacker, a convicted arsonist, and an ex-con who's killed just to survive—but he's found a home at Redcars. The men there aren't just friends—they're his brothers. And when the man who held Robbie gives up a name before dying in flames, Jamie uncovers a network of monsters. Rich. Protected. Untouchable. For the people he calls family—for Robbie, who was broken and caged—Jamie would burn the world down and watch it turn to ash to keep them safe.

Only Killian—a lawyer with secrets in his blood and a war room built on vengeance—wants him to wait.

Killian unsettles Jamie in ways he can't explain. His presence is a spark too close to fuel. The fear, the pull, the heat—it all blurs into something dangerously close to want. Killian doesn't try to fix Jamie's broken pieces. And when his steady hands quiet the fire in Jamie's chest, Jamie doesn't know whether he wants to fight him . . . or fall apart in his arms.

Bound by revenge, addicted to control, and drawn to each other in all the wrong ways, Jamie and Killian are on a collision course of pain and need.

The monsters they're hunting won't go quietly. But neither will they.

Hunter is just getting used to life as a vampire detective when he begins developing a remarkable new ability - one that none of his fellow agents at The Order have ever witnessed.
While he tries to control this new power, Hunter, his lover, Kai, and fellow agents from the Dallas bureau are summoned to San Francisco, where there is evidence a project to mutate ordinary citizens into human-animal hybrids has resumed.
What Hunter learns about his true self could help in tracking down those responsible - and could put his comrades in mortal jeopardy.
    Praise for West of Nowhere:
McPherson's style awakens old world vampire stories and entwines them with mystery/thriller overtones, making the resultant narrative decidedly unique... West of Nowhere weaves a wealth of supernatural fantasy components together, interlacing them with themes of belonging and regret into one intense, fast-moving story. --The BookLife Prize
Fans of The Dresden Files or The Southern Vampire Mysteries (but with more edge and less camp) will find a lot to enjoy here. It's fast, it's dark, and it leaves you with just enough unease to keep the lights on at night. (Thomas Anderson, Literary Titan)

The fallout of unicorn magic brings Jordan and Edra closer together.
For Edra, the strengthened bond between them is exhilarating and terrifying, and everything he believed he’d never have again. But Jordan is struggling with defining what is him and what is Edra when he barely knows himself.
When griffins descend on the city, killing several people, and then claim sanctuary from hunters, it’s up to Jordan and the rest of Mytho Investigations to uncover the truth before humans start calling for the griffins’ death.
With the entire country waiting for the outcome of the vote that will determine the standing of mythological people—and define who is a person—everyone is on edge. If it doesn’t pass, Jordan worries what it will mean for him and Edra.
As Edra and the other mytho rulers of the city contemplate their roles and the future, one thing is clear: no matter the outcome of the vote, things can’t remain as they are.
