Synopsis

On this journey called life there will be many imperfections, bumps in the road and if you don’t hold on tight to the steering wheel you will find yourself hitting a very large tree that will make mincemeat out of your car, your well being and your loved ones. 
Along the way you will encounter misfits and hypocrites, corrupt politicians and cracked up intellects, you will find these people in the most peculiar places as if they were actors reciting on the wrong stage in the wrong town. 
The world would like you see all of its beauty and all of its beautiful people, admittingly hidden by filters and makeup , but in this collection the poet wants to take you on a journey into the dark corners of society, into the cracked corners of the mirror, deep into the murky water of doubt. He wants to show you the abandoned buildings you failed to notice standing next to the towns monument, he wants you to see the broken shards of glass in the children’s playground and the discarded needles in the park where the dogs play. 
Most people paint a landscape in vivid colours, omitting the details, nobody wants to paint the charred remains of the burnt forest, the litter in the cornfields or the roads full of potholes , but this poet does just that, with his words he paints a morbid picture of everything he sees, for better or worse with a great attention to detail. 
This is the road he has chosen Route 8 that leads into a world of routine hate an unfortunate by-product of an unexplainable world where war is praised and honesty is scorned upon. Welcome to the post-punk poetry planet, it’s not for the faint hearted I hope you survive the fall.

The Jumblies, The Owl and the Pussy-cat; the Broom, the Shovel, The Poker and the Tongs; The Duck and the Kangaroo; The Cummerbund; The Dong with the Luminous Nose; The New Vestments; Calico Pie; The courtship of the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo and Incidents in the Life of My Uncle Arly. Mining a rich seam of coalblack humour and sex, drugs and rock and roll, it starts on a bittersweet nostalgia trip and builds up to the pace of a thriller. CONTROVERSIAL STUFF? Its themes and explicit language make this a candidate for one of those 'parental advisory' stickers they put on CDs these days. Does that make WOTCHA! a book that people aged under sixteen shouldn't read? In the author's opinion absolutely not. 'If rude words and references to sex, drugs and rock and roll upset you per se, this book's not for you. But if you believe, as I do, that a sense of humour is what separates "naughty" from "evil", I think you might enjoy this story, laugh at the funny bits, think about the serious bits and read the redemption between the lines.'
