The siren is beautiful in a way that is almost uncanny, so mesmerizing in her despair that he suddenly wishes he had a talent for painting so he could immortalize the scene. He can't paint for shit, so he does the next best thing and rescues her instead.

The dragon whom\ their family owes their success to has been hibernating for the past few centuries, but she has awoken and she demands her payment.

Werewolf Guards a Dragon Heiress

Dragon heiress Malia is ordered by her grandfather to interview potential husbands from other territories but is met with failures. When one of the opportunistic candidates slips her a drug, she is rescued from disaster by her bodyguard and the feelings he has for her comes to light. "I had quite an enjoyable experience myself," he hummed. "I was really starting to worry at the end there," he grinned.

"Worry about what?" she asked.

"I thought you wouldn't touch the drink," he said, gesturing to the wine.

Her blood ran cold. Of course, the one date she had been on where the guy wasn't a complete and utter douchebag, he would turn out to be even worse.

"I'm tired of being the youngest and being told that it's natural I won't inherit shit," he said with a truly ugly expression on his face. "I can't stand it. I want a place of my own."

She swore and tried to send a text to Braxton, but whatever medication she was given, it interfered with her motor function. The fire inside of her burned hot and she felt the phone sizzle and short circuit, zapping her lightly before it stopped working entirely. It fell to the ground with a clatter.

She gritted her teeth and glared at the unassuming looking young man seated opposite her.

"So your plan is to drug me?" she asked, stalling for time. She had been texting Braxton consistently since the beginning of dinner and the sudden lack of messages was sure to catch his attention. She knew she could count on him, but she didn't want to play the role of damsel in distress. She was stronger than that.

Still, she found it suddenly difficult to move, like someone had poured molten lead over her bones and allowed it to solidify. Her limbs were not her own, her body out of her control. It was an uncomfortable feeling. She tried to move her fingers and found that no matter how hard she tried and how much she glared her fingers wouldn't move at all.

"Dragons are capable of getting pregnant regardless of what cycle of menstrual cycle you're in. I've just got to make sure to get you pregnant and then you'll have to marry me," he grinned like the maniac that he was, like this was a plan that would work out at all.

Performed and Narrated by a full cast with sound effects and soundtrack! Book 1 of The Capital series: "March to the Capital".
"They deserve what happens to them.
Ever since they enslaved us, ever since they shackle us underground to bring them their ore or chain above ground to harvest their grain. We suffered, while they fattened their bellies. No more, now we deserve justice. We will ravage through their countryside, we shall burn their homes, and slaughter their young. For now, our rebellion has begun.
The time of my people’s slavery ends with me for I will lead my people to greatness. The Cinari will do anything to stop me, with their ancient war machines and pathetic armies. But I will push them back and claim what is rightfully mine. We built their Empire with our blood and tears. It is time we take it back.
When I was a slave, they called me M-24:6.
But as a free man, they know me as Marak."

The first cut is the deepest.
Murderers never take a break, so when the body of a twenty-nine-year-old middle school gym teacher is discovered, Special Agents Amelia Storm and Zane Palmer are called in to help the Violent Crimes Division with one of their most puzzling cases to date. Because this isn’t just a random crime...
    It’s far more bizarre.
The latest victim is the fifth to be found dumped in a rural area south of Chicago. The victims have little in common, except one thing...their internal organs have been removed with a precision that only a surgeon could achieve.
Is this the work of a deranged serial killer, an organ trafficker, or God forbid, both? Or could one of Chicago’s criminal organizations be involved?
Despite their investigation yielding one dead end after another, Amelia is determined to keep digging. Because she has no doubt that the murderer will strike again, and soon...unless she stops them first.
From the wickedly dark minds of Mary Stone and Amy Wilson comes Storm’s Cut, book ten of the Amelia Storm Series that will make you realize that those sworn to protect can inflict the most harm.

Born a year apart, May and June Anderson were once as close as twins. Time and a loveless marriage changed the once vibrant May into June's timid counterpart. Eager to match June's boldness for once, May doesn't hesitate.

The Colony is located in a magnificent Spanish Revival-style mansion perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific, and is presided over by the group's charismatic leader, Rex. Drawn deeper into the group, and under Rex's seductive spell, May undergoes their initiation ceremony. Yet her questions grow more urgent with June's continued absence—and the warnings of a presumptuous but charming undercover investigator. I can’t figure out why I’m so intrigued by Ollie Gibson.
He’s nothing like me—soft where my world is hard, sweet and kind while I’ve grown up around violence.
But there’s a fire to him that sparks the one inside me, loyalty that calls to me, and bravery I respect even if it gets him in trouble.
When Ollie’s hurt and we don’t know if the men who attacked him will come back for more, I can’t stop myself from claiming him. There’s nothing I won’t do to protect him, even go behind his back for vengeance.
I crave him—both the sweetness and the fire, the innocence and the dirty boy he turns into under my touch.
I’ll kill for him, turn my world upside down for him, share my pain and secrets with him. Ollie helps me deal with it all—even the drama with my father.
It’s supposed to be temporary. I’m not supposed to want more, but I’m determined to keep him, and for a reason I can’t understand, Ollie wants me too.
The future lawyer and the criminal. The Good Samaritan and the killer. We’re living between two worlds, this place where vengeance can be sweet and our differences don’t matter. But we both know it can’t go on like this forever. If the violence of my world doesn’t tear us apart, one day Ollie will walk away…and I don’t know how to let myself lose him.
Content Warning: Sweet Vengeance contains discussions and grief over the loss of a parent, violence, darker themes, drug use, and morally gray characters with no redemption arc. This is still a Riley Hart romance though, so you can expect a happily ever after for our guys. Please see the note in the beginning of the book for a more detailed content warning.
