Synopsis

Hunting a serial killer through a simulation controlled by Nazi-influencers. DEVIL IN THE PALE MOONLIGHT is an adult cyberpunk psycho-thriller set 100 years in the future.2120: Texas has seceded from the union and become a mecca for white supremacists. After a century of war, environmental strife, and 'the 2nd Dark Age,' the New Reich is the leading world power via control of the insidious Animus Civitas technology — a simulation that mesmerizes the mind while drawing energy from the body's central nervous system. Millions languish in 'the Siv' caught hopelessly in indentured-streaming contracts to the richest influencers of the New Reich while their families watch their bodies wither in the Real. A fledgling hero, the last Heir-Architect, joins the Siv to find an unexpected inheritance waiting for him and begins a war to rescue all people stuck in mental slavery. Horror takes hold of the simulation when a serial-killer begins recreating crimes from the past, their victims inexplicably dying in the Real — corpses set in a twisted grin that is the killer's grisly calling card.
