  Bridges: Rivers of traffic.Bridges are all about us now in the modern world."I have have written this Poem 'BRIDGES - Rivers of Traffic. ::Bridges are all about us now in the modern world, but have been around for a long time.They've been getting built since ancient times, to ford rivers and cross continents by making roads AND rivers navigable.There are so many different types of bridges that span the waterways of our worldwide Cities.From the popular Suspension bridges - like the Golden gate bridge in 'frisco mentioned, to Cantilevers, beams, trusses, arches which are also very popular, tied-arches, and cable support bridges.They have personas of their own in their Grand ways and designs.This poem also includes Chapter 2 about the fabled Finn McCool who built the Giant causeway steps on Staffa scotland,as a Bridge to Ireland.   Admiral Alfred Thayer Mahan: The...

  Alfred Thayer Mahan is arguably the most influential military strategist in American history, and one of the world’s most important naval theorists. His work has been nearly as influential as the famous German military theorist Carl von Clausewitz (1780-1831), and the lesser-known but nearly as influential Swiss military writer Antoine-Henri Jomini (1779-1869). 
  Alfred decided to go to the Naval Academy in Annapolis, which he was admitted to via the influence of Secretary of War Jefferson Davis. He graduated in 1859 and started a career lasting almost 40 years. He served aboard a wide variety of ships, from a powerful frigate under sail to a variety of steam sloops, corvettes, and gunboats, many of which were side wheelers and all of which had auxiliary sails. 
  He started as a Midshipman and worked his way up the naval ranks to Captain and Commander. He also had several independent commands. He was stationed off the Atlantic Coast and in the Gulf of Mexico during the Union blockade of the Confederacy. He was on a sidewheeler tasked with keeping an eye on the French in Mexico, where Napoleon II had installed a Hapsburg archduke as emperor. He spent more than two years on station in the Far East, spent a couple of years with the South Atlantic Squadron based in Montevideo in Uruguay, and then a year off the west coast of South America, in a ship observing events during the War of the Pacific. 
  After a lengthy naval career, Mahan had assignments at the Naval Academy and the Brooklyn Naval Yard. He was invited to lecture at the Naval War College, and it was there that he collected together his notes and wrote a book, The Influence of Naval Power upon History, which somehow became an international bestseller in 1890. His book resulted in an invitation to dine with the Queen in Britain. It was translated into German and the Kaiser ordered a copy be placed on every German warship and in every school.

This introduction will explore what social engineering is, its methods, and why it has become such a significant threat in today’s digital landscape. 
  The core idea behind social engineering is simple: it is the manipulation of people rather than technology. In this approach, an attacker bypasses security measures and instead focuses on exploiting the weakest link in any organization or system—the people. These attacks can take many forms, ranging from phishing emails to impersonating authority figures, all designed to get the victim to willingly provide information, click on malicious links, or take actions that compromise their security. The success of social engineering relies not on breaking through firewalls or hacking encryption systems but on exploiting the trust and naivety of human beings. 
  Social engineering attacks can have serious consequences, especially as more of our personal and professional lives move online. Cybercriminals can gain access to sensitive personal information, financial data, or corporate secrets, leading to identity theft, financial loss, or damage to an organization’s reputation. In the corporate world, social engineering is often used as a gateway to larger cyberattacks.   About the Author: 
  Author Joel Francis was born into a God-loving, Bible-believing Christian family in India, and emigrated with his family to Canada when he was a young boy. Learning about the history of the Church and attending a Catholic high school inspired him to write his first book, Zebedee's Calling. Joel conveys the eternal truths he continues learning about God through his writing, and he wishes to serve and glorify Him in every sphere of life. Joel lives with his parents and brother. He graduated from the University of Toronto with majors in applied statistics and economics, and a minor in mathematics.
