This audio book features soothing music for dogs, curated to help your faithful friend relax - while you're out and about.Scientific studies show that certain frequencies can influence the mood of dogs. British veterinarians therefore use the selected music in this audio book in order to reduce the stress on dogs while treatments. There are loads of audio books and CDs out there that promise to calm dogs down through sound. However, the reviews often prove the opposite. Either the basic musical frequency has been chosen incorrectly or the playing time is too short. This program was compiled by renowned British veterinarians and experienced audio engineers: Only certain audio frequencies actually calm dogs and induce the brain into a deeply relaxed state. Experience peace and relaxation even when the postman is passing by, when there is a storm outside or when your dog is struggling after a medical treatment. The soft and floating sounds ensure maximum relaxation and avoid anxiety, unwanted barking, whimpering, whining or chewing.Instructions for use: The audio book has a total running time of 10+ hours. If possible, please do not leave your dog alone for so long! The track are arranged in a special and proven dramaturgy, so please always play the audio book from the beginning. Please do not play the tracks too loud. A reduced, moderate volume has proven its worth. Try to switch off sources of disturbing noise (e.g. telephone, radio or television) as far as possible.

Gene Stratton-Porter (August 17, 1863 - December 6, 1924) was an American author, amateur naturalist, wildlife photographer, specializing in the birds and moths in one of the last of the vanishing wetlands of the lower Great Lakes Basin. The Limberlost and Wildflower Woods of northeastern Indiana were the laboratory and inspiration for her stories, novels, essays, photography, and movies. She was an accomplished author, artist and photographer and is generally considered to be one of the first female authors to promulgate public positions; conserving the Limberlost Swamp in her case. Although Stratton-Porter wanted to focus on nature books, it was her romantic novels that made her famous and generated the finances that allowed her to pursue her nature studies. In Moths of the Limberlost, she shares her lifelong love of the moths she describes through a series of charming anecdotes and wonderfully descriptive passages, providing vivid detail of each stage of their life cycles. Over the past three decades, Lew Bryson has been one of the most influential voices in whiskey. In Whiskey Master Class, Lew shares everything he's learned on his journey through the worlds of bourbon, Scotch, rye, Japanese whiskey, and more (yes, there are tasty Canadian and Irish whiskeys!). In this book, you'll find:

    ● An overview of the different types of whiskeys, including the rules and identities of each. He also includes information on craft whiskeys, which tend to be more creative and freewheeling than the styles made by traditional producers.

    ● Exploration of the key whiskey ingredients, with a close look at the flavor contributions of malt, peat, corn, rye, wheat—even water matters.

    ● Distillation for non-distillers and the beauty of barrels: Whiskey is both an art and a science, and what's in the glass is affected by things like pot stills vs. column stills, barrel char, and of course, time.

    ● Numerous interviews with master distillers, still makers, and other artisans at the top of their field.

    ● Tasting notes throughout so you can identify the whiskeys you might want to try next.

You'll want to do the homework with whiskey as the subject!

The city of Liebe is gone and Oscar presumed dead. With Tabby Miss Cakes adrift in a crumbling realm of myth and memory, she is not sure what’s real anymore—or if anything ever was.
When Oscar reappears, inexplicably alive, the two stumble into a bizarrely wholesome world where animals sand horses, kindness is weaponised and no one seems to notice the sky is falling.
That’s because a poet is eating reality.
The Ar’dath-Irr, a lunatic bard of monstrous power, is enslaving writers to pen a reality-warping Creed. His disciples are many. His Muse is now airborne and terrifying. And Oscar? He’s caught in the middle—again.
Teaming up with Jeffemeries, an exploding-bun enthusiast, Oscar and Tabby must navigate a surreal landscape filled with monstrous beasts, curried pumpkins, spoon-waving cultists and a clinically confused populace. But as lies unravel, their friendship—and whatever hope remains—is ravaged by an oncoming tsunami of madness.
Part fever dream, part odyssey, part philosophical slapstick, With Eyes No Longer Blind is a journey into utter absurdity and clinical insanity.
Book 2 of the Morigan Tetralogy. It’s poetic, deadly and Oscar is absolutely the wrong cat to star in it.
“So many misprints, it’s like an entirely new language.” - Sampson Braithwaithe.
“120,000 poorly chosen words.” - Rashud Inplala, Social Commentator.

"Every nation has its own way of celebrating, but England's pageantry is unmatched."

Mark Twain's Queen Victoria's Jubilee captures the splendour and sentimentality surrounding the celebration of the sixty years of Queen Victoria's reign in 1897. With his characteristic wit and keen social commentary, Twain reflects on the grandeur of the festivities and the deep emotional connection between the queen and her subjects, interweaving humour with poignant insights into British identity, tradition, and the complexity of monarchy in a rapidly changing world.
Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known by his pen name Mark Twain (1835–1910), grew up along the banks of the Mississippi River, and his early experiences inspired many of his most famous works, including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Widely celebrated as America's greatest humorist, Twain captured the spirit of a rapidly changing nation, and his sharp wit, keen eye for human nature, and gift for storytelling made him not only a beloved novelist but also a popular lecturer and essayist.

Twain's innovative style, character-driven storytelling and ability to interweave humour with profound social critique laid the groundwork for modern American literature and has inspired countless authors, including Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Indeed, Hemingway famously declared that "all modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn."
