Beschreibung

Lady Anne, the illegitimate daughter of the Scottish king Robert the Bruce, patiently awaits her wedding day at Rancoff Castle when Tor Henneson, Rancoff's bastard son raised by his Vik mother in the north, storms the castle moat and breaks down the gate, demanding his due. What he wants from the father who cast him aside is coin rather than comfort—something Rancoff has always denied him. 
 
 
 
Rancoff puts him off and rejects his demands and while days turn to weeks and then months, the towering young man opens his eyes to his long-denied Highlander heritage—and also beholds the beautiful betrothed Anne—finding can no longer cast the Highlander part of him aside . . . nor his keep his vow to hate his father Rancoff. 
 
 
 
When Tor claims Anne as his own, trouble ensues as their love sets off dark intrigue and deadly treachery. Tor and Anne are draw him into a desperate fight to save their love as well as Tor's birthright. As their enemies close in, Anne is in great danger and Tor must do everything in his power to save the woman he loves.
