A heart-warming, funny, beautifully told story for readers of all ages from the bestselling author of Jasper Jones and Honeybee.
'You don't have to carry the weight of the world in your tool belt.'
Annie Shearer likes to fix things. She lives in the country town of Upson Downs with her best friend, an adopted stray dog called Runt. The two share a very special bond.
After years evading capture, Runt is remarkably fast and agile, perfect for herding runaway sheep. But when greedy local landowner Earl Robert-Barren puts her family's home at risk, Annie directs Runt's extraordinary talents towards a different pursuit - winning the Agility Course Grand Championship at the lucrative Krumpets Dog Show in London.
However, two things stand in her way.
There is Fergus Fink, a vain and villainous dog handler determined to prevent Annie from upstaging him.
And a curious predicament: Runt will only obey Annie's commands if nobody else is watching.
Though she's used to fixing problems on her own, Annie enlists the help of her quirky family. There's Susie, her vibrantly fashionable mother, who is the worst baker in the nation. Her father, Bryan, who inherited the family farm and has a hidden passion for flower cultivation. Her teenage brother Max, an aspiring daredevil. And her grandmother Dolly, a one time champion sportswoman who, years after the death of her husband Wally, is now looking for love. Each make sacrifices and employ their own unique skills to get Annie and Runt to London.
With all eyes on them, Annie and Runt must beat the odds and the fastest dogs in the world to save her farm.
Runt is a heartwarming and hilarious tale of kindness, friendship, hurdles, hoops, tunnels, see-saws, and, above all, being yourself and bringing out the best in others.

Welcome to the Clancy of the Outback series.
Eleven-year-old Clancy has been thrust into life out woop-woop. These are the stories of his outback adventures at his uncle's sheep station, Overflow Station.
In this book, we are introduced Brutus and Butters Clancy and Little Bill's dogs. Clancy has a lot to learn, and Little Bill makes sure he begins to understand the rules of country living. She takes Clancy for a tour of the property in the old ute and when they are a distance away from the homestead, she lets Clancy take control of the vehicle. The result is disastrous when Clancy mistakes the accelerator for the brake. The ute is undriveable and so they must walk back to the homestead. Clancy is exhausted and goes to bed straight after dinner. He has a nightmare about being a racing car driver.
At the conclusion of this book there is an Outback Facts section on the Darling River, a Henry Lawson type poem about Clancy of the Overflow and a page of Outback Jokes.

In previous stories, our heroes, Eddie and Samantha Hertz, faced earthquakes and hypnotized zombie-like people. What could be worse? Birds. Yes, birds. And lots of them. Eagles, hawks, owls, herons, and more. The villain Mephisto has hypnotized tens of thousands of them to do his evil bidding. The situation gets even stranger. Our heroes have to battle gravity itself. Mephisto has stolen antigravity belts that allow him to fly. But the belts have a flaw, and he tries to force Eddie to perfect them. In the meantime, Mephisto uses the hypnotized birds to paralyze the city while he steals millions of dollars. Against all odds, Eddie and Samantha, their mother, their Uncle Milligan, the new Damocles, and the eccentric Dr. Gilbert G. Godwin, work together to battle the hypnotized birds and their controlling master. As usual, the entire world is in danger, and only the Hertz heroes can save it.

Woodsies can take on any human shape, and have appeared in larger and finer forms than we can ever hope to have, though mostly they just need well-disguised bodies strong enough to care for plants that like wood-filtered light. They are mainly practical, wise, and helpful, but all families have misfits and trouble-makers and sometimes young woodsies like Leaf-lag won't grow up and have to learn the hard way. This rebellious, 'ne'er-dowell' woodsy only half listens to his lessons and training, and after idling his way through summer is frightened to face a season of work to make up for this during the warm and secure underground winter festivities. He decides to go his own way, but the cold and hunger are too much for him, so he takes refuge in a dolls' house inside the playroom of a large house. The two young children, whose noise and size at first terrify the visitor, are delighted with his presence, a secret close-kept from adults. But because he has not paid full attention to his training, every trick he plays to show off cannot be reversed, and this gets his friends into more and more trouble. He becomes disruptive, selfish, isolated and cowers away in fear of being trapped. After many adventures, including a night in a mouse trap, he has to make for the closed doors of the winter palace, beg for admittance and face up to the discipline of his teachers. Born in Birmingham in 1943, Michael Tolkien grew up in rural South Oxfordshire and North Yorkshire. He studied classics and English at St Andrews and Oxford. Settled in Rutland since 1968, he worked as a secondary school teacher until early retirement in 1994. His verse has been published in two booklets and five full collections, which have been widely and favourably reviewed. He recently adapted and developed two tales by Florence Bone, a forgotten children's writer. He presented his versions in narrative verse as "Wish" and "Rainbow".

Why do People Like Gaming? Well, many millions of professionals and worried parents have been asking themselves this very question for at least fifty years.
When video gaming started in the Seventies, most people saw it as a bit of fun, but as the craze took hold, even in that decade, intellectuals and educationists began calling it `a stupid distraction`, and the gamers `dumb`. This continued until fairly recently, and millions of disparaging words were written about video games and gamers.
However, the tide is now turning, and `experts` are pontificating on the positive aspects of gaming on gamers…even on very young ones. All the while this debate swirled around them, gamers just got on with what they liked doing the most - playing video games.
Much has been written about why gaming took the youth of the Seventies by storm, and why now, people of all ages love to play. Some like the rôle-playing, others like the virtual risk-taking, and others like to hone skills that they would not ordinarily use.
Some even dream of joining the thin ranks of the millionaire élite gamers.
Whatever your reason, may you long derive pleasure from your hobby, and may The Force be with you!
The information in this ebook on various types of games, video, computer, arcade and related subjects, is organised into 16 chapters of about 500-600 words each.
As an added bonus, I am granting you permission to use the content on your own website or in your own blogs and newsletter, although it is better if you rewrite them in your own words first.
