  It is a poem about the never ending fascination of People with the Human body. 
  Some might say, its in our DNA. That maybe so.  
  The Greeks knew how to display it, as both eroticism and as an Art form. 
  Showing both sexes in the 'Perfect' perfection of Beauty! 
  Unfortunately; the human form, especially the female human form has been in the last few decades 
  since the new renaissance or as we call the sexual revolution or as is now the 'free society'. 
  Denigrated to an object not of art but purely of desire, or descended into the more pornographic exploitive realms of decor art. 
  *NO A.I. has been used in the creation of this Poem. * As for all his poems & s/stories.*

  Ronald E. Hignite - author of The Beatitudes in Poems - demonstrates in The Ten Commandments in Poems his poetic skills and provides greater understanding and meaning for God's laws for mankind. 
  Listeners will be inspired by the manner and design by which the events at Mt. Sinai are described in poetry and rhyme. This audio-book contains 12 poems, with one on each of the Ten Commandments, along with an introductory and closing poem. 
  Ronald E. Hignite was born in North Carolina and grew up in Connersville, Indiana. He returned to North Carolina with his family after high school and attended East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. There he earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. Following college, he taught English at Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, VA. After two years in Fork Union, he moved back to northeastern North Carolina where he spent most of his educational career in the towns of Washington, Camden, Murfreesboro, and Ahoskie. His interest in writing poetry was sparked while in college with his readings of the English poets, Byron, Shelley, and Keats.

  USEFULNESS of HIPPOPOTAMUS THE -...

  I am staring at a blank piece of paper, wondering what to write. Where do I begin? My mind begins to wander-pleasant thoughts of Disney's Fantasia dance in my head. The dancing hippopotamus comes to mind, and this made me laugh. The result: I penned a poem on the hippopotamus from which a chapbook was born: The Usefulness of Hippopotamus: A Humorous Chapbook for Trying Times. 
  One cannot imagine a world without humor. Without humor, the world will be dark, cold, and a sad place, tragically lacking joy, cheerfulness, and laughter. 
  Humor is medicine. During rough times, humor will help lighten and lessen physical and mental anxiety. 
  In challenging times, I chose humor. During the Pandemic, I had to deal with my bladder cancer. In my struggle not to get depressed or dwell in negativity, to find solace, contentment, and peace, I chose to seek out beauty and laugh. 
  In search of happiness, the humor worked its charm, resulting in a treasure chest of joy. So, I wrote my chapbook, The Usefulness of Hippopotamus: A Humorous Chapbook for Trying Times and discovered humor even among the hippopotami! 
  You can, too.

  William Morris was born in Walthamstow, London on 24th March 1834 he is regarded today as a foremost poet, writer, textile designer, artist and libertarian.  
  Morris began to publish poetry and short stories in 1856 through the Oxford and Cambridge Magazine which he founded with his friends and financed while at university. His first volume, in 1858, The Defence of Guenevere and Other  Poems, was the first published book of Pre-Raphaelite poetry. Due to its luke-warm reception he was discouraged from poetry writing for a number of years.  
  His return to poetry was with the great success of The Life and Death of Jason in 1867, which was followed by The Earthly Paradise, themed around a group of medieval wanderers searching for a land of everlasting life; after much disillusion, they discover a surviving colony of Greeks with whom they exchange stories. In the collection are retellings of Icelandic sagas. From then until his Socialist period Morris's fascination with the ancient Germanic and Norse peoples dominated his writing being the first to translate many of the Icelandic sagas into English; the epic retelling of the story of Sigurd the Volsung being his favourite.  
  In 1884 he founded the Socialist League but with the rise of the Anarchists in the party he left it in 1890.  
  In 1891 he founded the Kelmscott Press publishing limited edition illuminated style books.  His design for The Works of Geoffrey Chaucer is a masterpiece.  
  Morris was quietly approached with an offer of the Poet Laureateship after the death of Tennyson in 1892, but declined.  
  William Morris died at age 62 on 3rd October 1896 in London.
