Synopsis

When Clara’s phone rings, it is only a brief call. 
A father who is worried. 
A daughter who cannot be reached. 
A conversation that should mean nothing – and yet shifts everything. 
Clara stays after a loss that is not her own. Not because she is asked to. But because an opening appears. In a stranger’s apartment, in a daily life thrown off balance, she begins to take a place that is not empty – but missing. 
What looks like care turns into closeness. 
What promises intimacy becomes displacement. 
And between guilt, need, and the desire to belong, something emerges that no one names – but everyone feels. 
Someone Stays is a story about loss and substitution, about the longing to be seen, and about the quiet violence that arises when someone stays in order to be something they are not.
