Have you ever felt like you're treading water professionally, having reached the limits of what you can achieve? If so, it might be time for a reset. Careers progress through distinct phases: you climb the career ladder, change direction or start your own business, and eventually retire. As different as these phases are, so too are the rules of success that govern them. To keep succeeding, you must mentally shift gears and realign yourself accordingly along the way.
Passionate "career technician" Christian Greiser is here to help you do just that. In this engaging and humorous new book, he draws on insights from his many years of experience as an executive coach and incorporates research findings, case studies, and exercises to show how you can shift your mindset to achieve success and fulfillment in the next phase of your career.

He has also taught Medical Microbiology, Environmental Health, Public Health, Molecular Biology, Toxicology, and Anatomy and Physiology as an adjunct professor at several Universities. This was accomplished despite: 1) Having a learning disability: 2) Repeating fourth grade; 3) Not being prepared for college-level work; 4) Being told by his high school guidance counselor that he did not have the necessary IQ to succeed in college; and 5) Having no support from friends or family and being continuously put down. He took this as a challenge causing him to set high goals for himself, which he exceeded despite these obstacles. This book not only recounts Dr. Rubin’s personal victories but also serves as a roadmap for readers seeking inspiration and guidance to conquer their own hurdles.

Will artificial intelligence improve the way we work and live, or will it alienate us? The choice is ours. What will we decide?

It's no secret that AI is changing the way we live, work, love, and entertain ourselves. Dating apps are using AI to pick our potential partners. Retailers are using AI to predict our behavior and desires. Rogue actors are using AI to persuade us with Twitter bots and fake news. Companies are using AI to hire us—or not.

This is just the beginning. As AI becomes smarter and more humanlike, our societies, our economies, and our humanity will undergo the most dramatic changes we've seen since the Agricultural Revolution. Some of these changes will enhance our species. Others may dehumanize us and make us more machinelike in our interactions with others. It's up to us to adapt and determine how we want to live and work.

    Are you ready?

In I, Human psychologist Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic offers a guide for reclaiming ourselves in a world in which most of our decisions will be made for us. To do so, we'll need to double down on what makes us so special—our curiosity, adaptability, and emotional intelligence—while relying on the lost virtues of empathy, humility, and self-control.

Filled with big-think fascinations and practical wisdom, I, Human is the book we need to thrive in the future.

Many companies across the globe will suffer over the next few years as there is an emerging generation of customers who hate doing business with them. Trefler calls this real and imminent threat the Customer Apocalypse. He argues that the connected consumer is giving birth to a new generation of customer who are blowing up the very notion of customer relationship management. Theyre not interest in a relationship, and they wont be managed. This customer expects to be in control rather than to be controlled, and they want to discover your product or service on their own, and share their devotion to it with everyone. Cross them and they will demonize you to the world. Trefler shows us how a companys future depends on their willingness to do three things: Look beyond mere data to see your customers; balance, and respect their intent to discover the appropriate customer process Understand that the technology we have been given to address this problem suffers a fatal flaw, and what must be instituted to overcome it Radically re-think how business people, technologies, and finance roles work together for adaptive and transformative innovation       Combined with examples from his professional experience in service to and as a trusted advisor to some of the worlds most sophisticated organizations, Treflers bold and timely insight will be welcomed by business leaders across any industry.

Post-pandemic, how awkward or anxious do you feel when walking into a room of strangers at social or professional settings? It’s now extremely common everywhere. This audiobook will help you with so many practical tips & techniques.
What mistakes do you unwittingly make when meeting and greeting new people? Includes: How to walk into any room with confidence. Tips to remember people's names. How to be memorable for the right reasons.
Scarlett (22), London. “I loved it. As someone who truly loves people, and has spent a lot of time trying to understand how people work in social settings to make them feel as comfortable as possible and build strong connections, I resonated with everything that was spoken about. My job is centred around this as a talent manager, I found it so useful to listen to someone so experienced effortlessly teach your ideas in such a practical way. I can only speak for my generation, but I think social skills are hugely lost, and I think your audiobook makes being genuine, but intentional within social settings, feel so much more simple and achievable. It feels totally relevant in every way. I work in a more casual, less corporate environment but I found all your examples about etiquette so interesting. I haven’t heard anyone speak about these things before. Again, I think this is very lost within my generation.
I come from a very white middle-class area, and since moving away have become so interested in understanding other cultures on a deeper level. I simply wasn’t exposed to different ethnicities, religions etc. until I began working. I love how you touched on things that may could offend different kinds of people, because you would just never know unless you knew.
I think the audiobook is so valuable! I’m sure you have been told this a million times but the way you read / speak is so easy to listen to, which is always a plus.”
